Whole Foods sells goods to people and employs them on mutually agreeable terms—I don’t see how that qualifies as “stealing from us.”

Is it really so hard to understand “these bastards steal from us all the time, so we might as well steal from them?”

If the #Bears are after an offensive tackle in Round 1 - and we'll have to wait and see - their bid could be boosted by the fact 1/4 of the round is complete and an O-lineman has yet to be selected.

@JeffAgrest @patrickfinley 💯🎯 Too many are concerned about burning bridges, stepping on toes, offending contacts and access than reporting and asking legitimate questions about professionalism and ethics thus casting doubts on their own. The salacious part is not the focus.

@AdamSchefter @marcraimondi 🤣
How come us normal folk never get offered intervention or told to be a good boy ....
We live in a country where only normal folk have to follow all of the laws of the land while those that are better off get to do as they please with little to no consequences ...

Falcons edge rusher James Pearce Jr. agreed Thursday to enter an intervention program, allowing him to avoid trial on felony charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, fleeing police and resisting arrest, along with misdemeanor stalking.

Patriots’ statement on Mike Vrabel:
“The New England Patriots fully support Mike Vrabel’s decision to prioritize his family first, as well as his own well-being. Mike has been open with us about his commitment to being the best version of himself for his family, this team and our fans, and we respect the steps he is taking to follow through on that commitment.
“We are confident in the leadership and communication Mike has established with our personnel staff throughout this pre-draft process. While he will not be present at the facility on Saturday, we know the draft evaluations are complete and Eliot Wolf and his personnel staff are prepared to execute our draft as planned this weekend.”

Maybe somebody should ask why and then respectfully press them for a definitive answer. NOAA & the NWS operate multi billion dollar budgets.
This isn’t and shouldn’t be a political thing, rather it’s much more of a leadership/priorities/mission thing.
Why? Bc there’s no way they didn’t budget for the cost for 2 RAOB’s daily from each site.
“Well we’re short staffed” - well someone is about to get some mandatory overtime. Bc this has direct impacts on forecasts and lead times.
“Well there’s a helium shortage” - Ok, how did we not learn our lesson last time…? (We need the helium reserve that the BLM operated back online to safeguard against market trends when there is a shortage.)
I can see definitively say that the solution is NOT to throw even more money at the problem.
The solution is getting the priorities of the agency straight and having redundant safeguards that ensures vital data collection can occur every day that directly results in longer lead times and less lives lost during severe weather events.
Again anybody that’s making this a political thing and thinks throwing more money at the wall is going to solve all these issues is woefully missing the boat.
Also I’m not saying anything bad about anyone. It would be great to be able to increase the funding for vital government agencies that keep people safe, but throwing more money at government agencies with no accountability/oversight is why the federal government is 39.1 trillion dollars in debt, and we can’t even launch a handful of balloons.
Rant over.

OPINION: Imagine it was someone other than President Donald Trump. Suppose a different leader were posting deranged rants in the small hours, insulting the spiritual leader of 1.3 billion Catholics, threatening entire civilizations with annihilation, and comparing himself to God. What would be the reaction?

The same approach that got the #Bears Kiran Amegadjie in Round 3 of 2024 is what would get them Max Iheanachor in Round 1 of 2026.
Kiran was toolsy, long and athletic coming out. Gifted prospect. But the Bears couldn’t afford to take a project OT, yet they did.
In the right system, I believe Kiran absolutely could’ve developed into more than he’s been. But he landed in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Similar with Iheanachor. I think he’s the superior prospect coming out, but he’s also quite raw and underdeveloped. Have to factor in a switch to LT with him, too.
The Bears are not in a position to take a raw tackle at No. 25. Not when you have the defensive needs they have, as well as the solid value you’d get at those positions.
Iheanachor is a pick you redshirt behind an older, talented starter for a year or two while you develop him. Chicago doesn’t have that.
If they take a LT at No. 25 tomorrow, it should be one who could start right away. I’m not sold Iheanachor is the guy.
