@simonphunt @PhilipCollins24 The winds are certainly shifting quickly at the moment so both timings and where rain falls can alter fast. Some predictive sources predict for airfields (where a lot of data comes from) and that can misfire especially where hills or urban areas change airflows and temperatures.

Just announced over the course tannoy, "In light of the weather forecast, to ensure that the full programme of racing can be completed, the committee has decided that racing tomorrow will commence at 9:30am".

@RowingVoice @PhilipCollins24 I can assure you it’s not as wrong as you may believe (based on actual data). The icon is for showers (thundery) so it’ll be hit and miss. It may also change as the data is updated. No app will forecast showers as accurately as you’d like, especially several hours ahead of time.

@PhilipCollins24 Oh it would be the BBC. I deal with safety predictions for Oxford college rowing all year round, and the BBC is by far the least accurate of all options. Accuweather, MetOffice and MetCheck all better. BBC just plain wrong loads of the time. Maybe they're right this once?! (RQ)
