@ChaponaBike123 Because as cars are registered the insurance can make sure the damage is paid for by the guilty party unlike an anonymous cyclist scraping down the side of the car, doing hundreds of pounds damage and disappearing . Does that help?

If you are following a cyclist and it's too narrow to pass simply wait a few seconds until there is safe space. The police took positive action against this white van driver for not giving 'at least 1.5m of space'.

Do you stand near the platform edge to board a stationary train? Do you stand there when a train goes past at high speed? Just think about it, it's really not hard to understand

@SaferRoadsYorks @Avalonian1010 Yet when cyclists overtake traffic stationary at lights using the oncoming lane they are usually much closer than 1.5m to the stationary and oncoming car.

@Avalonian1010 Will be a lot more ruined if he kills or injures someone. Needs to learn to drive better.
