Cesar Chavez is being cancelled in Californian academia, his name stripped off buildings. Interesting that Hispanic men no longer have enough totemic capital to deflect progressive deculturation. nytimes.com/2026/03/18/us/…

@AnalyticaCamil1 I think you might be surprised how well 2500 marines could do invading all of Iran with complete air superiority on support. I think they could get at least 25 KM from Tehran.

Genuinely, just cut this shit out. This is the same variety of jingoistic hubris that lead to the Russian military getting its teeth kicked in 30km outside of Kyiv. 99% of USMC’s successful reputation is a product of its very smart and very aggressive war planners (arguably the best in DoD), and I can almost guarantee to you and everyone else that they’re looking at this proposed operation and trying their best not to look at the White House and tell them to “go fuck yourselves with a rusty pipe.”

The Duke Lacrosse case may be one of the worst race hoaxes in American history. For American Greatness, I review the case, how it was based on nothing more than the changing testimony of a drug-addled, mentally ill woman, and how it offered a preview for future hate hoaxes in the 2010s amgreatness.com/2026/03/19/the…

Imagine being surprised by finding out that yet another famous leftist was terrible MLK was a communist, plagiarist, and philanderer known, thanks to FBI tapes, for having "looked on, laughed and offered advice" during a rape Mandela was a communist terrorist who delighted in blowing up white civilians, much as his wife enjoyed setting black South Africans who were loyal to the government on fire in the horrific "necklacing" process Idi Amin was a cannibal Mao enjoyed "deflowering" little girls, something in which Beria engaged as well Mugabe, Nkomo, and Patrice Lumumba were all terrible as well When you put spiteful mutants in charge, they act exactly as could be expected

With Cesar Chavez near UFW headquarters Bakersfield California,1975. Chavez was the most revered Latino in American history. He led the fight for decent working conditions for farmworkers. This is heartbreaking news.

@escapefrommelos one of the most disgusting accounts I read when I independently studied the Spanish conquistadors. the final sentence makes my stomach churn. I never will understand people who genuinely celebrate such barbarism & the hypocrisy of the Spanish being “Christian” at the time.

When you read about the early history of the Spanish conquest of the Americas, you realize Certain Things about Latin America... From Michele de Cuneo, a Spanish nobleman in Columbus’s second expedition to the Americas: "While I was in the boat, I captured a very beautiful woman, whom the Lord Admiral [Columbus] gave to me. When I had taken her to my cabin she was naked — as was their custom. I was filled with a desire to take my pleasure with her and attempted to satisfy my desire. She was unwilling, and so treated me with her nails that I wished I had never begun. I then took a piece of rope and whipped her soundly, and she let forth such incredible screams that you would not have believed your ears. Eventually we came to such terms, I assure you, that you would have thought she had been brought up in a school for whores."

I’m sure the Canadian born reporter @brahmresnik is good with this. Chavez stood when others wouldn’t. He was a flawed man. Everyone is. It doesn’t erase his legacy, and what he did to move things forward for Hispanic farm workers in America. And you thought they would stop at the Civil War monuments?
Brahm Resnik@brahmresnik

JUST IN Arizona won't recognize Cesar Chavez Day on 3/31, according to @GovernorHobbs spox. United Farm Workers, union co-founded by labor & civil rights icon, cancelled celebrations amid "troubling allegations" that Chavez was involved in abuse of young women or minors.

OK, i am *NOT* saying this in order to imply that invasion would be good (it wouldn't!), but these historically and cartographically illiterate takes from people who've self-reinvented overnight as "topo map interpreters" still irritate me. Historically, Iran was conquered by the Macedonians, Arabs, Mongols and Turks. There was also the 1941 Anglo-Soviet invasion. The Zagros Moutnains are formidable but they are not the Hindu Kush, and you can find other topo maps which visually dramatize them less.
Daniel Davis Deep Dive@DanielLDavis1

Why is it so hard for US politicians to "rule anything in or out" when it comes to US troops on the ground in the Iran War? It's not that hard, folks. The answer is 100% 'no.' Look at the topographical map below and note the virtually impregnable *series* of mountain ranges along the entire Western side of the country. Note, too, the green, level terrain of Iraq to the west, and realize that when I was part of the US invasion force into Iraq in 1991 (and the US coalition in 2003), we were able to drive into Iraq from friendly countries, over level terrain, where the defending force had nowhere to hide or defend from. Iran, in contrast, is built for defense. We simply do not have the number of troops in our entire ground forces that could be mustered to make such an attack, and even if we foolishly did order them in, they would be defeated in the many mountainous ridges and valleys that give decisive advantage to the defending force. In short, yes, reject any idea of a ground invasion of Iran. It would be suicidal, and on par with Hitler's fatal decision to invade the USSR in September 1941. It would result in the destruction of the American empire.

Dolores Huerta chose to hide and suppress her own pain for the sake of the movement. She had to sit there as her (alleged) rapist was being glorified as a freedom fighter. I cannot imagine.

Cesar Chavez, with one of the girls he groomed. @nytimes has a big article about what a sexual predator he was. He even raped Dolores Heurta, another "civil rights icon," but she kept mum. Times is a bit late. This book documented what a total creep he was back in 2014. I reviewed the book: Chavez was "a deceitful, foul-mouthed, philandering, sociopathic egomaniac who pretended to be a saint." First reply has link to the review.

The White House is beginning to make concessions so Democrats can reopen DHS. Number 3 is most troubling: enforcing visible officer identification. If this includes their names, they’ll be subject to doxxing. Why do Republicans always let Democrats govern as the minority? Follow: @WallStreetMav

NEWS -- WHITE HOUSE has sent a letter to the Hill with changes they are willing to make to DHS to re-open the agency. This is quite the distance from what Democrats want. But there's been a frustration that the Hill has no idea what's going on. And the admin thinks that this could be enticing to some Dems. pbwl.news/94fc98 (yes, text subscribers got it first)

@DanielLDavis1 Let me slow you down a bit. The United States could deploy troops to the Moon if need be. Iran is difficult but well within the logistical footprint of the DoW. How BOG are used is a function of METT-C. But let’s stop with the “impossible” or “defeat” foolishness.

Afghanistan is just as mountainous and the Taliban were bombed until their C&C broke and then invaded successfully. The same could be done with Iran, and no, America wouldn’t be defeated in the mountain passes. It’s not Thermopylae. However you are correct that it would be an incredibly idiotic move to launch a ground invasion. Not because you’d lose, but because you’d win relatively quickly but then find yourself in a quagmire worse than Vietnam. That’s the real reason not to launch a ground invasion.

It’s actually substantially worse than this tweet makes it out to be: The study in question claimed that black babies died more when cared for by white doctors. Not only was that finding spurious and disappeared when controlling for low birthweight infants, it DID find that white babies died more when cared for by black doctors. They were well aware of this, and an audit of the original manuscript showed a comment where they intentionally chose to downplay this because it “did not fit the narrative.” Wokeness went through academia like a fucking freight train and produced some of the most god-awful bullshit since the inception of the scientific method. Much of it has never been corrected in the public consciousness. This paper, for example, was cited by everyone’s favorite low IQ Supreme Court justice.
Steve Stewart-Williams@SteveStuWill

A famous study found that Black babies have higher survival rates if attended by Black than White doctors. But a re-analysis of the data shows the effect disappears after accounting for the fact that low birth weight babies more often see White doctors. [Link below.]
