My boomer dad retired at 62. Full pension. Paid off house. Medicare at 65. Social security at 67. Told me at Thanksgiving, I just need to be more disciplined with my money, I make $71,000. Rent is $1,900. I have $4,000 in savings. I didn't say anything. I passed the rolls. But here's what i wanted to say: Your pension was defunded by lobbyists your generation elected. Your social security is solvent because mine is still paying in. Your houseis worth $800,000 because mine costs $600,000. You didn't build differently. You just got there first.

Her dad lost their farm over $50. Young people today don't have a clue (nor do I for that matter, and I'm 50)

@clarke_penley @skumWgmi Your monthly bills were also quite different… internet, phone, television, etc all didnt exist or were massively cheaper… your rent was 20% if your take home, by comparison if your rent now us $1500 (normal) you’d have to take home $7500 which is making around $120K

At what handicap level do you believe golfers start to seriously notice a difference in golf balls? I’m not talking ProV1 vs some water logged Top Flight. I’m talking about a Chrome soft vs a Bridgestone etc…

@CoachMarcusHill Aside from practice structure/organization… what impacts do you think the age changes have had? My son turns 13 end of July so by LL standards he’s 13 even though he’d never play a game unless they make it to Williamsport… so happy my town plays Cal Ripken… also play 50/70

@SavageDipoto The current version is horrid… the had is pretty much the only part I like. The black pants are awful, the jersey is just a rehash of an older design… these coupled with the nee sunday snooze unis are two of the worst in baseball.

@GrantHorvatGolf @wesleybryangolf 7 iron is what you grab for club fitting, its typically the club beginners can hit the farthest consistently, and as a kid you’d have sets with 5-7-9-W or something and the 7 would be used so much even to chip. It was also my 150 club when I was young so versatile.

Wesley Bryan and I got into a heated argument about what the majority of people’s favorite club is. I will stand firm and say it’s a 7 iron. There’s something about that club that’s very different than an 8 and 6. Wesley said a driver or 60 degree is the majority favorite. Who’s right here?

@dpshow Coaches already face a lot of criticism when they leave a program… look at Deboar when he left UW a week after the 2024 National Title game. But if coaches can get fired for poor performance, players should be able to as well… if its business that works both ways.

@notnotdane @adamtirapelle Thats always the issue when you think about Freestyle Criteria… everyone would defer to ensure they get the last escape in a tied match… or you get a TD to go up 1 you lose if you give up an escape? Always felt Criteria should go to first points, reward aggression

17 second flurry. We'd see this at the end of every close match in regulation with criteria, instead of tiebreaker ride-outs. Much better way to decide a winner and much more entertaining for fans.

Let's cancel tiebreaking rideouts. 2 minutes of sudden victory only. Tiebreaker is whoever has more riding time from regulation. If no one has riding time advantage then winner determined by rock paper scissors. Who says no?

Overtime ride outs is no different than criteria in freestyle. The match ends tied. Fuck ride outs. Unlimited neutral who scores first. Stallings reset in OT.

@BioHusky2003 @Benaskren I beg to disagree and I guarantee you I'm no Penn State fan. McGowan was continuously disengaging and backing and not doing anything aggressive in return. Classic example of stalling on accumulated inaction/backing. You could argue that he should have had three against him.
