@DeBarsham @RhonddaBryant You really think the donor expects nothing in return for giving £5m?
English

@RhonddaBryant Yes, a personal gift to Nigel for his security before he was even an MP. Accepted as a private citizen to utilise as he saw fit. Once again, I see no significant issue with this. It has no bearing on Reform’s political activities.
English

In Wigan, Reform won 96% of the seats on 46% of the votes.
In Westminster, the Conservatives won a majority on 35%, while @TheGreenParty won 18% of the votes without gaining a single seat.
The time to change the voting system is *now* @MakeVotesMatter
English

@NeilNei28067 @JohnRentoul Who gifts £5m without getting something in return?
English

@FuzzGreen @julianHjessop @GreatBritishTT No, I understood that bit. However, I have had my taxes back in kind; as have you.
English

@BritainDecoded_ @FuzzGreen @DaviesElis @MatthewStadlen Your bio says "based in Germany", how does that work?
English

@BritainDecoded_ @DaviesElis @MatthewStadlen Someone makes a simple point about maths and the nolumber of people voting reform. You "beg to differ" but then fail to challenge the maths and start talking about runners. But, when did the second placed runner declare victory? Hint: they didn't,no one is saying that except you.
English

@Williamtells7 @julianHjessop @GreatBritishTT Did you know they don't give you your taxes back either?
English

@julianHjessop @GreatBritishTT I didn’t expect the government of the day to keep my NI contributions in an old shoe box with my name scrawled on it. I don’t care what they did with it as long as they gave it back when it was due. Sure, there’s no actual fund but so what. That wasn’t the deal.
English

@FuzzGreen @DaviesElis @MatthewStadlen This is literally like watching a 100m race - the second placed runner then moaning that they actually ran "another" race quicker so technically - they still win!
Bottom line here - no matter what way you try to cut this - #Reform winning, #Labour out!
English

@DaviesElis @MatthewStadlen I think you're missing the point here - there is no way on earth ANYONE from the #Labour camp or the #Tory camp can possibly call this anything other than an Annihilation - arguing the toss over count the votes for #Reform or not is a bit academic at this point

English

@aknox92 @eigenrobot Reform pushing the narrative, so that they can whip up a sense of outrage when it doesn't happen and Labour continues.
English

@eigenrobot people seem very confident that this forces them to call an election, but I don't know why
English

labor getting crushed in uk location elections
probably none of this really matters because they don't need to hold a general until 2029 but im open to correction on this assessment
Bjørn@Cicada4483
@SydneyLWatson @TaxpayerBritish Basically this. The Labour political strongholds are collapsing. We haven't seen anything like this in politics since the early 1900's when Labour came about.
English

@PatThomas1964 Sounds great, might have to get a London ticket. Oxted is the odd one out (who's heard of Oxted?)
English

@steipete @anti_diplomacy @RayFernando1337 I'll try out the Android apk once it's available in the repo...
English

@anti_diplomacy @RayFernando1337 Will do once they are great.

ahhhhhhhh im donald trump i have no conception of honor or decency and i publicly humiliate allies who can't defend themselves and so shame my nation by proxy

eigenrobot@eigenrobot
trump has a thoroughly vulgar soul. you cannot expect any noble thing to come from his rule. ofc its conceivable that he ends up making america "great" but i dont think he could ever make it worthy.
English

@fingaz_1122 @shashj They are products of a choice to negotiate, agree and respect international rules. Europe, US and beyond. Trashing such a system in favour of "might is right" will have consequences and my point is that Trump should consider what the US stand to lose as well as gain short term.
English

@FuzzGreen @shashj The same could be said of every country. These points aren’t something Europe has done for anyone. These are byproducts of the circumstance.
English

@fingaz_1122 @shashj For a start, US has relied on a predictable environment for trade and investment with Europe. The US is stronger in many ways through coalition power with European countries. USA would not be where it is today without cooperation and collaboration and relative world stability.
English

@FuzzGreen @shashj What exactly does Europe do for America that America can’t do for itself?
English

@vividvoid Isn't the idea that feminists hate men an untrue stereotype?
English

A male feminist is nothing more than a man who has internalized female hatred of his nature, as well as the civilizationally necessary moralization of maleness. Rather than carving out a place for the parts of himself he must keep secret, he uses women's tools to obliterate them
zinnia (genius, 30G)@zinniaa_3
“a male feminist” contrary to his own perception of himself is a woman-despiser, he hates the reality of female nature and projects a moralism onto it; it is impossible to feel loved be a man who cannot grasp the darkness within you
