I’m seeing this sentiment a lot and I think there’s some truth to but I think the real reason the national media has no idea is because KC’s roster has so many holes in it.
They could go RT, WR, TE, DE, DT, Safety, or DB because those are all legit needs. The reason the front office’s propaganda is working so well is because it’s secretly not propaganda; they actually do need to fill all those spots.

The Chiefs should still be looking to add WR help early. It's the last year of Rice's deal and given how things have gone so far, talent aside, there is no indication that they can rely on him.
Get Patrick Mahomes a weapon he can rely on through the rest of his prime.

NFL concluded today that Chiefs WR Rashee Rice “has not engaged in conduct that violates the personal conduct policy” and the investigation into accusations from his former girlfriend is now closed; there will be no discipline at this time. I’d be fine with it, Downs would be my second option in that scenario.
I understand KC needs a WR but Delane is a dog and would fill a need.
I just don’t view Tyson or Lemon as a 9th overall pick.
