@HilltopAutoServ @Pontifex Read the Old Testament when God commanded war. Also, the pope should respond to the evil atrocities committed previous to the war. We love our Iranians who needed their country back.

On behalf of the Christians of the #MiddleEast, and of all women and men of good will, I appeal to those responsible for this conflict: cease fire! May paths of dialogue be reopened! Violence can never lead to the justice, stability and peace for which the peoples are waiting.

James 2 doesn’t reject “faith alone” as the means of justification: “Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith. That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring—not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,” Romans 4:4-5, 13, 16 What James 2 does is reject those who “say they have faith” but they have no works of proof. James 2:14. He’s being rhetorical. Obviously, that person doesn’t have faith. As Martin Luther put it “we are justified by faith alone, but that faith is never “alone.”” Works are the byproduct of saving faith.

@RepRileyMoore they don’t believe this. they are framing catholics as victims. this is to benefit catholicism by a victim narrative. look at Biden and Pelosi. both are catholic. this is a front. (it might work to weed out some truly believing catholics.)

IRAN 🇮🇷 An Ayatollah has penned an open letter to Pope Leo XIV, calling for the pope to advise US leaders to end the war underway in the Middle East On March 5th, Ayatollah Seyed Mostafa Mohaghegh Damad Ahmadabadi wrote: 'As the first Pope from the United States, Your Holiness possesses a unique and historic opportunity to speak to the conscience of Western leadership. Given the deep Christian faith often professed by these leaders, your voice carries a weight that transcends traditional diplomacy. Therefore, we respectfully request that Your Holiness, by reminding [the American leadership] of the teachings of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him)—the Prince of Peace—guide them so that they refrain from committing such acts and that no more human blood be shed upon the earth. Religion must never be a tool for war, but a balm for the wounds of the world. I pray that through your intervention, the "law of force" may be replaced by the "force of law" and the spirit of reconciliation'

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; henceforth you know him and have seen him.” - John 14:6-7 The euchrist is Jesus so we should know Jesus to receive it. Do not doubt the mercy of God and do not doubt his forgiveness for you, through love. Jesus saved the women who committed adultry. Jesus saved the woman with 5 husband's at the well. Jesus asked the Father to forgive the men who scourge and killed him as he died on a cross. Is doubting the mercy and forgiveness preventing you from doing the good work for God that he desires? As Jesus said, the healthy do not need a doctor. Jesus did not come for us to save the holy, he came to save us, all of us, the sinners. Let your heart feel the mercy of God, give God the respect of accepting his gift. If you fail today, apologize and start new. Every morning given to us is the first day and could be the last. I'm thankful the holy spirit showed me your comment, and I pray to Jesus that he removes whatever is blocking his love. Understand...the devil needs you to think God will not forgive you. The devil needs you as miserable as he is. Ignore the devil and accept Jesus into your whole heart. God bless you person I do not know.

It is a transubstantiation. I use the analogy of a T-shirt. You buy it for a couple of bucks and, in essence, it is just cotton threads. Now imagine that your favorite athlete wears it while scoring the winning goal in the finals. That very same cotton T-shirt suddenly becomes invaluable—priceless even. The humble wafer used at Communion is practically worthless, but after the congregation, led by the priest, transforms it through the authority of the Church and at the command of Christ, it becomes priceless. It is the same wafer, but through the miracle of the Mass in which we partake, it is transformed in substance.

When I make posts about how the communion we consume every day at Mass is the real Jesus, I hear Protestants tell me things like: "That's cannibalism, why would you say that?? It is wrong! You Catholics are cannibals." It is cannibalism when it is another person. But this is not just another person. This is the real divine. This is JESUS fully present. This is the only way to obtain eternal life. Jesus himself said it. John 6: 53-56 Jesus said to them, “I am telling you the truth: if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in yourselves. 54 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them to life on the last day. 55 For my flesh is the real food; my blood is the real drink. 56 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood live in me, and I live in them. It becomes the real presence of Jesus after an ORDAINED CATHOLIC PRIEST performs the rites, and transubstantiation happens. It is not a symbol! It is the real presence of Jesus.

Most of the comments here have been very supportive, but a few have been deranged. I'm not a Hallow app influencer. I'm just trying it for a month. I read the Bible every day, and pray every day. I want to expand my prayer life, so I tried an app to see if it would help.

The devil will use every option he has learned over thousands of years to seperate God's loved people from Jesus. The devil will lose but he is in panic mode. Hallow is saving people and they get attacked. You are saving people and you are attacked. To save even one soul is worth all of it. The devil has had so much time to learn how to manipulate humans, we resist.

The crying about @alexathallow is insane. The people at Hallow created a program that makes it easier for people to pray. That’s it. As a priest who hears over 10 hours of confession a week, I can joyfully tell you that it bears great fruit for people. To create the app and set it up and coordinate took a huge investment of manpower and technological skills. They charge for it because they have a right to their wage. They did something no one has done as well as them and the fruits show. I don’t use Hallow, I’m not getting paid by them, I’m just tired of watching people tear apart those who are doing their best to advance the kingdom of God. If you don’t like what they’re doing, get off your couch and do something better. Otherwise, stop this nonsense. There is nothing about it that shows the fruits of the spirit, but I see a lot of the fruits of the flesh in the attacks.

Jesus says, “When you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites.” So why do Catholics walk around with ashes on their foreheads every Ash Wednesday? Is that not the very kind of public display he warned against? Thread:🧵

In the effort of trying to learn what God, who Jesus is through the Holy Trinity actually wants from us; I learn the Catholic Church is critical. Start at your local bishop and trace apostolic succession to the beginning and you will get to Jesus appointing the first (Peter). An organization comprised of humans will have scandal and error but the faults of our brothers do not change what Jesus needed. God bless you and your sons. Ignore denomination and find what Jesus asked for, it leads you home.

My sons were baptized into the Catholic Church after growing up Baptist. We have deep debates often on differences in theology application. But the more I listen to them, pray, and spend time in scripture, the more I feel aligned to their perspective. The Protestant seem to have a mvp definition of faith, are diluted in their context. My mil Methodist Church has a lesbian pastor which is a blatant mockery in every level

The world is slightly less satanic now… Puerto Rico has taken a historic step by recognizing unborn children as legal persons from conception. Senate Bill 504, signed into law by Governor Jenniffer González Colón, ensures that unborn children have legal protections, including insurance coverage, inheritance rights, and representation in certain circumstances. This landmark law passed both legislative chambers with strong support and took effect immediately. Pro-life organizations celebrate this as a major affirmation of the inherent dignity and value of every human life. May this remind us that every life, from its very beginning, is precious to God and worthy of protection.

@robertsalvo That’s 100% fact. I’ve seen it 1 million times. In my 28 years as a priest, one of the key things I learned is that proper worship does not necessarily produce good Catholics. It certainly produces confident ones but not necessarily good ones.
