Supply has been restored to some of the affected areas. Our teams are continuing work to restore supply to the remaining affected customers. Further updates will be provided as progress is made. Our teams have identified one of the four faults that have affected electricity supply.
Jointers had commenced with repairs and joining of the located fault. However, work had to be stopped due to heavy rainfall in the area. Work will resume once the rain has subsided and it is safe for our technicians to continue.
 
We apologise for the inconvenience caused and want to assure customers that we are doing everything possible to restore electricity supply as soon as possible. Updates will be provided as progress is made.

#EskomGauteng #SandtonOutage #StatusUpdate   We have temporarily restored electricity supply to East Gate, Kramerville, Linbro Park, Marlboro, Marlboro Gardens, Wynberg, and Wendywood following the outage that occurred on 9 January 2026. To safely continue repairs on a damaged transmission conductor, we will switch off electricity supply to these areas on Saturday, 10 January 2026 at 10:00.   This planned interruption is necessary to allow our technicians to complete the repair work and ensure the long-term reliability of the network. At this stage, we are unable to provide an estimated time for completion and full restoration of supply. We will continue to provide updates as work progresses.   We apologise for the inconvenience this causes to our customers.
