It also doesn’t really matter how much fraud there actually is. If people don’t trust that the process is secure and fair, the entire system breaks down. That @peterbakernyt was compelled to even make such a post suggests he understands the trust issue - thus, it’s a self-defeating argument. In other words, “Let me give you a bunch of facts and figures to convince you that our elections are fair” isn’t necessary if you have rules in place like photo id that inherently create underlying trust. It’s the same reason the legal system has strict rules in place for conflict of interest recusal. It doesn’t matter if the conflict of interest would actually cause bias - the mere perception that it could casts bias undermines trust in the overall system and is therefore not tolerated.

Fact checking fraud claims: Heritage Foundation documented 1,620 cases of voter fraud from 1982-2025, including 100 cases of noncitizens voting. That's about 0.000008% of more than 1.3 billion votes cast in presidential elections in that time. @YLindaQiu nytimes.com/2026/03/27/us/…

Mikie Sherrill Embarrasses New Jersey Again 🤴

We're burying our kids. Democrats are counting ballots.

So far here is the pattern for @GovSherrillNJ social media...mislead about freezing electric rates, mention the tunnel project that won't be done till at least 2035, sprinkle in a post about affordability w/ no plan at all, with a helping of blaming Trump for everything Rinse and repeat daily

New Jersey is moving in the wrong direction, and public safety is paying the price. Sanctuary policies that limit cooperation with federal law enforcement don’t protect communities; they put officers and families at risk.
