WOW! THIS IS REMARKABLE! An Italian physicist by the name of Paolo Di Lazzaro spent 5 years trying to reproduce the body image seen on the Shroud of Turin, and no matter what or how he tried he just couldn’t. Using intense UV light, he and his team were able to create small areas of discoloration on linen, however recreating the full image was absolutely impossible with modern technology. So, according to Biblical scholar Jeremiah Johnston, Di Lazzaro estimated the process would require an extraordinary burst of energy that we just can’t recreate on earth. "Paolo told me it would take 34,000 billion watts of energy traveling in one 40th of a billionth of a second to change the chemical makeup of a fine linen shroud to leave that image and we simply don’t have that type of power.” “There would be a chemical change to the shroud that if it had lasted longer than one 40th of a billionth of a second, it would've scorched.”

Thousands of years ago when God created the moon and the earth, He created the backside of the moon and filled it with color knowing we wouldn't praise him for it until thousands of years into the future. How many more things did God create for us that's yet to be revealed?

Did Emperor Constantine coerce the Christian leaders when he called the Council of Nicaea? As I explain in this clip, standing in front of the Victory Arch of Constantine in Rome, the evidence speaks for itself.

It’s 3am in Jerusalem right now. The Gospels agree the tomb was empty before sunrise (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2; Luke 24:1; John 20:1). That means: somewhere around now, Christ is risen!

Adam | Faithful Messenger@Adam_FaithfulM

In 1986, the American Medical Association published an article titled "The Physical Death of Jesus Christ". It details the entire process of Jesus' trial to His death on the cross. In Luke 22, before Jesus is arrested, it is written that He was in great distress & sweating blood. Although rare, it is recognized as Hematidrosis, a condition caused by high levels of stress. At the time, the crucifixion was considered the worst death for the worst of criminals. But this is not all Jesus faced. He endured whipping so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. He was beaten so horribly that His face was torn & His beard ripped. A crown of thorns, 2-3 inches long cut deeply into His scalp. The leather whip used to flog Him had tiny iron balls & sharp bones. The balls caused internal injuries while the sharp bones ripped open His flesh. His skeletal muscles, veins, & bowels are exposed, causing major blood loss. Most men do not survive this kind of torture. After Jesus was severely flogged, He was forced to carry His cross while people mocked & spat on Him. Crucifixion was a process meant to instill excruciating pain, creating a slow & agonizing death. Nails as long as 8 inches were driven into Jesus' wrists & feet. The Roman soldiers knew the tendons in the wrists would tear & break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support Himself to breathe. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the courage...Jesus endured this reality for 3 hours! The Gospel of John writes that after Jesus' death, a Roman soldier pierced His side with a spear & blood & water came out. Scientists explain that from hypovolemic shock, the rapid heart rate causes fluid to gather in the sack around the lungs & heart. The accumulation of fluid in the membrane around the heart is called a Pericardial effusion & the lungs is called a pleural effusion. To the world, Christianity is as foolish as it can get. They believe it's for the weak. But when you are confronted by the reality of the cross, it's clearly not a pretty sight. It is brutal & horrific. This is the weight Jesus carried. The weight of the sins of the world, all so that we can live. God's wrath is fully satisfied in Jesus. This is what it took. Repent & believe! Jesus is “God among us” in the flesh. Jesus is our Savior. Jesus loves you so much that He went through this spiritual and physical punishment for your sins and mine. Jesus is the LORD, Almighty God, Everlasting Father. Thank You, Jesus.

Amazing encouragement for dads to be active and play with your kids… I think back to how much I loved my active dad as a kid and try to bring this energy and fun with my 4 children! #DadLife #Parenthood
Adam Lane Smith | The Attachment Specialist@AdamLaneSmith

New research indicates that fathers build bonds best with their children (and craft secure attachment in them) by "destablizing the child" in a "safe environment. Fathers in the study had a unique ability to make their children laugh and therefore create more perceived safety for the child which led to stronger attachment. Mothers made children feel safe too, usually with repetition and soothing, but the laughing and playing did not make the children as attached as it did when fathers performed it. Several things jump out from this at me: First, a father who is relaxed enough to laugh and play indicates a safe environment. Fathers are biologically the providers of safety, so if dad is relaxed, the world must truly be safe. Children may be picking up on this. Second, being worthy of a father's time and attention is a huge marker for kids. A father's attention may actually mean more in many cases, as we've seen in other studies. The bond with mom is equally as important, but sometimes the bond with mom is taken for granted, where the bond with dad is taken as remarkable due to perceived other demands on his time. What this means: Dads, you've got to be playing with your kids. As silly and disruptive as possible. They need this from you. It's one of the strongest ways they can bond to you. The Protestant Philosopher
The Protestant Philosopher@ProtPhilosopher·
I noticed several errors in Dr. Taylor Marshall's letter to Protestants. So I offer a corrected version below, addressed to Catholics. Dear Catholics, Your Bible contains 7 non-canonical books, added by the Council of Trent in 1546 over the objections of your own best bible scholar. Marshall says Jerome "changed his mind" about the deuterocanonical books around 402 AD in obedience to Pope Damasus. I've read Jerome's prefaces. This doesn't hold up. Damasus died in 384. Jerome wrote his famous Prologus Galeatus in 391. It excluded the deuterocanonicals as part of the canon. He labels these books as apocrypha. That's 7 years after Damasus was gone. That's not obedience to a living pope. The quote Marshall uses from Against Rufinus, which reads "What sin have I committed if I followed the judgment of the churches?", isn't about the canon. It's about Jerome's decision to translate from the Hebrew instead of the Septuagint. Rufinus attacked him for it. Jerome defended himself. In context, he's talking about translation method, not about which books belong in the Bible. And Jerome didn't stop his take. I've quoted these before, but here he is for the next 24 years of his life: 391: "Whatever is outside of these is set aside among the apocrypha." 398: The Church reads Tobit and the Maccabees "not for the authoritative confirmation of ecclesiastical doctrines." 405: Tobit is excluded from "the catalogue of Divine Scriptures." Judith is "considered among the apocrypha." 406: Cites the Book of Wisdom with "if one wishes to accept this book." 415: Still distinguishing Wisdom ("lest you gainsay this volume") from Ecclesiastes ("about which there can be no doubt"). This is one of his last works. Gallagher, a top scholar on Jerome on the canon, explains, "All of our evidence indicates that he always considered them outside the canon." Jerome never retracted. He never published a revised list. Never wrote "I was wrong." He translated Tobit and Judith under pressure, finished each in a single day, and attached prefaces denying them canonical status. That's not submission. That's a scholar doing what he's told while making sure everyone knows what he thinks. Dear Catholics, please drop the fan fiction that Jerome submitted to Rome on the canon. He held the same position from 391 until he died in 420. And Trent overruled him 15 centuries later by a vote of 24(Y)-15(N)-16(A). It passed by 44%. Not exactly a passing grade. Surely not one I'd write letters to Protestants about.
Dr Taylor Marshall™️@TaylorRMarshall

Dear Protestants, Your Bible lacks 7 canonical books, removed by Martin Luther and John Calvin as “Apocrypha”. Protestants often quote Saint Jerome to justify this removal. Saint Jerome later changed his mind about the 7 deuterocanonical books in obedience to Pope Damasus. His famous quote from the Helemeted Preface (quoted daily by Protestants) doubting the 7 deuteros dates from 391. Nine years later he wrote that he had submitted to the Catholic position and rejected his private opinion. Can Protestants please drop their fan fiction that Jerome was a Proto-Protestant? Later in life (in Against Rufinus around 402 AD), he defended the Church's judgment on the 73-book canon saying, "What sin have I committed if I followed the judgment of the churches?"
