@curi0usJack Sending a doc full of questions is a bad look. It looks like you think it may be a bad fit and you need tons of information to decide. That's a red flag so you got rejected. You should limit it to the 2 or 3 most important questions and ask them during the interview.

I once sent a word doc full of what I thought were good questions about culture, company history, expectations, and compensation, to a notable company in our industry that I was interviewing with. I thought I was showing interest (and I was). I was rejected within hours for not having the "values" they looking for. It turned out to be an incredible life lesson: not every company is worthy of your time, and a company that is worth working for and will treat you well will have no fear of your questions. I had unknowingly applied to an "insecure" org (har). In spite of that, I am thankful to this day that the rejection happened so fast so we could both move on.

The FF7 graphics don't look super basic because of an art decision, they look like that because of the technical limitations at the time. Notice how they immediately abandoned it for FF8 and went to much higher poly counts as fast as they could.

@new2dsxlgroyper @deadbeef333 @SonicHero3D That's a Retard Take, Honestly. OG FF7 Mods Compliment the Game. It's not "Anti-Art" to improve a Masterpiece. OG FF7 as Great as it is, benefits from the Mods. I honestly can't go back to Vanilla OG FF7 anymore after I got the Mods Working.

PC mods be damned, I think the Switch version is the best way to play OG FF7. Full stop. Some of the mods I've seen of OG FF7 do look kinda nice, but they all feel superfluous to me. Just being able to play this game on the go and on the TV is very convenient.

Since I've gotten a few DMs about this -- yes, the DC tweet was 100% real, I saw it myself. Others saw it. People screen captured it. DC tweeted and deleted it quickly, but people screen grabbed it fast, too. Wonder why DC deleted it. Someone got into his ear quickly, I guess.

@Mystikart_ I think that's partially because your game appears to be very unique so I don't have anything I can immediately compare it to. So I'm just left thinking "What is this....?" Maybe you can try to evoke similar games in the screenshots / description.

@Mystikart_ I think it is a marketing problem. Looking at the steam page and I really can't figure out within 5-10 seconds what the game is like. Most gamers probably click Next in discovery queue if they can't clock what the game is in 5-10 seconds.

@chinpokomane People don't want to play the OG because of the graphics I guess (their loss), so I don't think it's fair for them to start with CC either.

Crisis Core fans literally dgaf about FF7 because why are they always out there recommending people to play the game before they finish the main story, when they KNOW it's gonna spoil all the major plot twists. Ok, you like Zack, we get it🙄

@mystikpahndah @Shredder1400 I obviously played the OG first and know it's story like the back of my hand, so I was unable to experience what it's like to play the new games without that context. Good to know that it's not so confusing. I would imagine all the Zack stuff in Rebirth makes no sense at all.

@deadbeef333 @Shredder1400 I kinda disagree. It’s a self contained story on its own. Sure things can have more impact if you’ve played the OG but I haven’t and I absolutely love parts 1 & 2.

I don’t have an opinion on this matter, but can any FF fan explain why VII Remake isn’t the best entry point? I’m genuinely curious… PS: I’m playing the OG game in between Mass Effect sessions.

@Shredder1400 There are things that happen in the remake that probably won't make sense without the context of the original, which is why they are saying that. But I think that's overall minor in the scheme of things.

Why does he send clones to attack Shinra and random villages like Costa del Sol? Why does he do anything evil? The game explains that it's just because Hollander hates Shinra because he lost to Hojo, and Genesis does whatever Hollander says. That's a silly reason. @epidemic_pain

Ok, then explain to me why Zack needed to take a detour on his way to Midgar to go hunt Genesis down at Banora village. Why was Genesis magically cured of his degradation at the end? (I can't reply because OP blocked me because they couldn't handle the truth about Crisis Core 🤣)

My most anticipated moment in FF7 Revelation is where Cloud accepts that he must say goodbye to lifestream dream worlds that do not reflect reality. There was never a multiverse—just ephemeral dreams of wishful thinking; a mechanic that already existed in OG. 🧵1/4

@korokfae The only thing that's relevant in this game are establishing Zack's relationships with Aerith and Cloud. The story is awful outside of that, Genesis makes no sense, and you don't learn anything new about Sephiroth. And the gameplay is really bad too, the DMW is terrible.
