If you made $500,000 per day, every single day since the Great Pyramids were built, you would have less than half of what the US govt has borrowed since June.

@OneJerseySchorr This is ripe, for fraud. Which is why it has moved forward and is why the bill was signed. More kickbacks.

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill signed a bill that permanently ends the requirements for advanced practice nurses (APNs), allowing them to practice independently in the state Previously, APNs needed to sign a joint protocol with a physician in order to prescribe medication, but that requirement has been waived since the Covid-19 state of emergency in 2020.

@Scott_Wiener This is so, irresponsibly wrong and you know that. It is not a felony for someone, who calls themselves trans, to go the bathroom. It makes it a felony, for a man to use a woman’s bathroom. And a woman to use a man’s bathroom. We should not need a bill to establish that

@itjayw @MollySOShea @friedberg Ok 37% of a billion is only 370 million out of 250B - 1 trillion debit it is a good start but would take 2,702 years to fix the 1 trillion dollar problem. With the continued out of control corruption in California. We need a New California with a Republic form of government.

BREAKING: David @friedberg says "California is functionally bankrupt" "People don't realize how screwed California is, & I worry that if California falls, so does the union. "$250 billion to $1 trillion short." "This is because for California to get rescued would be a big cost to red states, & I think it creates in the years ahead a lot of tension." "California's functional bankruptcy is a major risk to the country. & I think we need to figure out what we can change to fix it." How we got here: "California has a public pension system, & that public pension system retirees have paid into it & they get some benefits out, & the amount that they're owed back out is somewhere between $250 billion - $1 trillion dollars more than has been paid in. $250 billion to $1 trillion short. If it was the federal government, it would be like, okay, we'll just print more money. California doesn't have the ability to print money, so California has to pay this out, and you can't restructure retirement benefits. There is a Supreme Court case in California that said that once an employee has been offered retirement benefits, even if they're currently an employee, you can never restructure their retirement benefits. It has to stay forever, and the state cannot declare bankruptcy. There's no way for the state to functionally declare bankruptcy. There's no law to allow it. No state has ever declared bankruptcy, and the retirement benefits sit senior to the bonds in California. So you have to pay out the retirement benefits before you pay out all the bond holders that have loaned California the money that they use to run all their programs and services." Hill & Valley Forum 2026 (@HillValleyForum)
Chamath Palihapitiya@chamath

California will be bankrupt by 2030. If you’re expecting a state pension, it is at risk. If you don’t believe it, check Grok or Gemini and explore how California politicians changed the reporting rules on your pension so they could hide how underwater it is. The middle class citizens of California will soon be asked to pay a huge price to bail out the state. Why them? Because that is where most of the wealth of California resides. It’s easy to single out “billionaires” but there aren’t many of them and they can and will all leave before the bottom falls out. They are leaving in droves already. The mismanagement in California is biblical - and the scale is huge because it’s the world’s 4th largest economy. California politicians and their henchmen are now entering the coverup phase where they can no longer hide their financial incompetence so they are taking from average California residents to try and hide what they’ve done: You will soon see ballot initiatives with fancy tiles like “billionaire tax”. But those are lies. They are mechanisms to tax everything, every way: Excise taxes Wealth taxes Private property confiscation It’s all happening now. If you want to preserve California, you will need to stand up because California has become a kleptocracy.

🚨 UNREAL - An Ecuadorian illegal immigrant allegedly RAN OVER and KILLED a Pedestrian in Morristown NJ and remains AT LARGE! Wilson “Adrian” Morocho-Necta, 33, is now being hunted by ICE after plowing his work truck into Justo Pilco-Tenesaca, 68, and pinning him under the vehicle near Sussex Avenue in Morristown — before leaping out and bolting on foot around 7 a.m. Friday, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security. The data on neurodivergent workers is so lopsided it looks like a typo. JPMorgan Chase ran an Autism at Work program and found participants were 90% to 140% more productive than neurotypical employees. With fewer errors. UiPath partnered with AutonomyWorks on AI data labeling and reported neurodivergent associates were 150% more productive than non-neurodiverse talent. Hewlett-Packard integrated neurodivergent professionals into software testing teams and measured a 30% productivity gain. EY reported neurodiverse teams were 1.2 to 1.4x more productive and more accurate than comparable groups. At SAP, a single neurodivergent employee’s solution saved the company $40 million. Now zoom out. 15 to 20% of the global population is neurodivergent. One in five adults. Yet only 22% of autistic adults in the UK are employed. And 73% of neurodivergent people don’t disclose during hiring because they’re afraid of being discriminated against. That means the most productive talent pool in the workforce is also the most underemployed and the most hidden. Karp sees this and is building a pipeline to capture it. Palantir’s Neurodivergent Fellowship pays $110,000 to $200,000 a year. The job posting says outright that neurodivergent individuals will “disproportionately shape the future of America and the West.” A Gartner study projects that one in five Fortune 500 sales organizations will actively recruit neurodivergent talent by 2027. Palantir is two years ahead of that curve. The roster of neurodivergent founders reads like a hall of fame. Branson built Virgin with ADHD and dyslexia. Kamprad founded IKEA and invented the naming system because he couldn’t remember product codes. Musk disclosed Asperger’s on live television. Steve Jobs was dyslexic and dropped out. 40% of self-made millionaires in the UK are dyslexic. People with ADHD are estimated to be up to 500% more likely to become entrepreneurs. Karp himself is dyslexic. He built a $370 billion company. And he’s saying the system that filtered him out, the standardized tests, the credential pipelines, the interview formats designed for neurotypical candidates, is about to become even more obsolete as AI eats every routine cognitive task those systems were built to evaluate. The bet is simple: AI commoditizes average. The people who see patterns no one else sees, who obsess for 14 hours on a problem everyone else quit after 2, who build IKEA’s naming system because the “normal” approach didn’t work for their brain, those are the ones who can’t be replaced by a model. Karp is recruiting them while everyone else is still writing job descriptions that screen them out.
Kekius Maximus@Kekius_Sage

🚨 Palantir CEO urges people to skip elite colleges, saying “unless you’re neurodivergent”, the only path left is skilled trades.

@itjayw @MollySOShea @friedberg Agreed there is no guard rails as it relates to spending here but that's due to us being a one party state. You can't tax something that doesn't exist. Tax will be the final nail in the coffin. If we had real journalism here those outside ca would know the exodus is real here.
