Reformed women seem to always stand up for the patriarchs, instead of a victim. And BTW she’s sorely misinformed if she thinks the police didn’t believe her.
Suzanne Hedrick@suzhedrick
@JulesDiner So a family tries to cover up their dysfunctional family by ruining a man’s character and ministry with NO evidence! And everything thinks that is good. The police, the church and the Presbytery found no evidence of any wrong doing.

@jacket951 @Yves_T_M @RossKneeDeep The process is to hire women and blacks who can't fly over white guys who can.

I'd like to revisit to Charlie Kirk phenomenon. Here's a guy who said, the Civil Rights Act of the 60's was a mistake that was turned into an anti-white weapon. He once said, "If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, ‘Boy, I hope he’s qualified."
He went as far as to called Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson (a black woman) a 'diversity hire' saying she wasn't qualified to serve on the court despite her extraordinary judicial experience.
He was a vile racist, who was embraced by this administration, millions adore him and he was given a National Day of Remembrance and flags were lowered to half staff.
Yet, the same wasn't done for Civil Rights leader (Rev. Jessie Jacskon). I won't ask why or how Charlie Kirk was embraced this way. I already know.
So when I say that everything in America is about race. This is what I mean.

@TylerLeeConway Modern slave apologists like Bryan here always imagine themselves as the owner and never the slave.

@Jakes_insight @EruditeTogether You may not be a religious nut, but you are still a nutjob.
English

@EruditeTogether No I'm not a religious nut or affiliated with any control mechanism called religion. You just have a horrible view on things and are thinking you're helping but harming people instead. No pharma or germ theory based crap is good for us

✨I have bipolar 2 disorder and I am a Christian.
This is not shameful. It is not sinful. It happens to be how God created me.
I take 4 medications every single day and this keeps me stable. I have an additional 2 medications for emergencies. I will probably be on medication my whole life, and that’s okay.
Just like we would never question or shame a person who is diabetic for taking insulin, we shouldn’t shame or insult someone who takes medication for a mental illness.
I want to break some of the stigma surrounding mental health illness and medication usage. I’m only one person, but if I can positively impact one individual I think it’s worth it.
There are far too many people suffering silently because the Church has told them it’s their sin, its lack of contentment, it is because they don’t trust God, because they are immature, or because they lack obedience.
I’m looking to carve out a corner of the internet where those who suffer can find friend not foe.
What are some things you’ve heard from the Church when you have suffered from mental health problems? Did this impact you negatively? Did it prevent you from getting proper care?
As a book reccomendation check out @anna_gazmarian memoir! You will feel seen.

@MarcieAnde59695 @EruditeTogether Marcie. You would have mocked Christ for His trials.
English

@EruditeTogether It's your choice to be bi-polar or have any mental illness. It's your choice to be on meds. It's your choice to have this the rest of your life. I chose a different path to Jesus Christ. It actually is shameful & you lack the faith to get better. You identify with your bi-polar.
English

@Disgruntled1337 @EruditeTogether This is dumb and you should feel bad for typing it
English

@EruditeTogether Well diabetes is an actual medical condition, and bipolar is just a name they give to people who can't control their emotions.
English

@MarcieAnde59695 @EruditeTogether You're spiritually dangerous. What a horrible thing to say
English

@EruditeTogether You can't be a Christian & be bi-polar. The two can't exist together. You are either loyal to one & disloyal to the other. You take 4 meds & 2 more as emergency back up? Really? And you see absolutely nothing wrong with this? You've made peace with? Unbelievable! 🙄

@Preslavets @BasedDavePA To be fair, even with their flaws, Anglicans and Lutherans do take Paul's words seriously. Its evangelicals that are the problem children
English

@BasedDavePA Never ask a Protestant why Paul, in 1 Corinthians, called an inappropriate approach to the Eucharist a crime against the body and blood of Christ, and not against bread and wine

To believe that the Lord's supper is symbolic is to essentially call the Lord a liar.

@elenasbarre This is the dumbest thing ive read on this app this month. Congratulations

@Yves_T_M @RossKneeDeep Are you familiar with the process to become a commercial pilot?
English

@RossKneeDeep I don't trust black pilots in America either. Why ? because we know what 8 years of Obama and 4 years of Biden did with DEI. So what's your point ?
English

@debtam @RossKneeDeep Blacks aren't capable of understanding. They're democrats slaves. They need to wiped away and removed from our society.
English

@debtam @RossKneeDeep Debbie. The context makes it worse.
English

@RossKneeDeep When you can’t get out of the racial divide box it’s impossible to put his statement into the proper context, that’s on you.
English

@RoCa74394915 Yea I know. Elena is messed up in the head.
English

@SteveGuitarMad @BillArnoldTeach Answer the question and unblock him.
English

@BillArnoldTeach Listen… you’ve clearly not understood the conversation… go away until you’ve caught up. Start at the beginning. I’m not here to educate you. And I’m not going to try.. that’s your job.

@MBurtwrites Thank you . I liked these threads so much I just bought your book

Megathread of all the previous threads I've written making a Christian case against "spanking," here for easy reference.
A brief summary of key points thread: x.com/MBurtwrites/st…
Marissa Franks Burt@MBurtwrites
The Bible nowhere commands parents to "spank"/hit young children. Nowhere. Neither does it tell parents that God gives them authority to hit young children. Direct instruction given to Christian parents (repeated 2X)? *Fathers, do not embitter/provoke your children.* 🧵/4
