Things you can control: 1. Your honesty 2. Your attitude 3. Your perspective 4. Your energy 5. Your effort 6. Your friends 7. How often you say “Thank you” 8. How often you say “I love you” 9. Your focus on the past or focus on the future 10. Whether you try again after failure

Is there a way to prevent this? Seems ridiculous that stripe can block multiple attempts at fraud on an account, then they change their card and suddenly “looks fine to me boss”

@johncoogan lol as if Elon will get this to market by 2030. The Roadster was supposed to launch in 2020 and no sign of that one yet

@jeff_weinstein That’s pretty slick - I presume there are payment limits? And I’m sure you can’t/shouldn’t share here, but there must be some pretty legit fraud prevention protections in place, as risk of loss can get really big really quickly with Reg E and the 60 day rule?

@ndoyle Stripe underwrites the transaction and guarantees the funding. so you get an instant instantaneous yes or no as a business (so you can ship the good or whatever) and the money settles on regular schedule.

@jeff_weinstein I mean, sort of. 2 day settlement still puts the risk on the merchant unless you’re collecting/holding the funds at the bank during the authorization? And if so, then why not offer at least same day ACH settlement?

@pmarca check out this sc*m using your name to a) sign up random people to a WhatsApp group for “global financial research” and b) charge 20% commissions on trades. Will share your reply with the folks getting scammed.

@jeff_weinstein One thing is a unique wallet address that doesn’t require verification/validation. It’s a royal PIA, rife with security issues, to link a bank to another bank, brokerage account etc but being able to transfer to another crypto wallet is almost effortless (once you do AML/KYC)

[brainstorm] are there things that work (or theoretically work…) in cryptoland that don’t (yet) work in fiatland but should? e.g. 24x7 settlement, stable storage, simple exchange, peer to peer, tiny payments, huge payments, multi-wallet choices, fun transaction explorer, etc…

@chadmumm I sold a Subaru Outback last fall, just after our season ended. It took a *long* time to empty out the trunk. Found a wedge I would’ve sworn I sold…which is now back in my bag.

here's my annual @stripe feature wish list: - Be able to disable zero invoices during trials, we use sequential invoice numbering across our account. Every invoice number needs to be accounted for, these zero invoices (a lot due to free trial) are wasteful. - Be able to have multi-year subscriptions, I get it's not good to do this for auto-collected payments, but why not allow it for subs where you "Send invoice" . - Be able to ignore paused collections as churn. We often use this to give customers a bit more time to pay their invoices without needing to cancel the sub. In our book a pause collection isn't a cancel, so shouldn't be marked as churn in MRR reports. - Make it possible to zoom into Billing Graphs like the MRR growth one, so you can click to see which customers are causing the churn/upsell/... - Create a quote for an upsell or renewal based on an existing subscription, accepting the quote would schedule the sub to update - Be able to download an upcoming invoice as a nice PDF renewal quote. - Make it easier to switch the main currency of an existing customer. cc @stripesupport

@TheStackSystem did I miss the setting to enable push notifications in the app for reminders for workouts? If not available, would love to add that as a feature request please!

Shoutout to @_ClubGlove! My Stiff Arm got broken on the way back from Bandon. Club Glove shipped a new plastic piece out for free and I’m back in business.

Jordan Spieth, Hole 11, Round 2, @JohnDeere Classic. Jordan pulled his tee-shot left into the hazard. His window out was tight as he yelled back to Greller whom stood over his ball. They opted to take nearest relief, dropping on the cart-path, still made bogey.

So many SEO agencies suck. Just had a call with a prospect. They're looking for a new agency because their current one isn't getting them results. They paid 10k / mo for the past year. And they make 5k / mo revenue from organic. The agency delivered 76 backlinks / mo. And were open about it being a PBN. 0 growth done in a year of work. Sick to my stomach hearing that.
