Despite everything I am extremely thankful for Marathon and am loving the game. This past month has been an absolute blast and I can't remember the last time I genuinely felt like waking up and grinding a game day in and day out passionately the way I have been in a long time.

@Belizaire101 @pushsquare I think the game is very addictive and fun I’ve been hooked but trying it for a day will just run players away they gotta try it for over a week to really start to enjoy it that’s what happened to me I hated it after the server slam now I played it for 6-7 hours a night

Congratulations to all the runners who’ve been battling it out in the floating death fridge we call Cryo Archive! We’ve been watching and ingesting all the thoughts and feedback that we’re hearing, aggregating it and taking it down in notes. After this weekend we’ll spend some time looking into feedback and thinking of the next iterations we want to make: Main topics we’ve noted so far: - Scheduling : options for players who can’t play on weekends - Solos : is there any way to play this map without joining a crew? - Subroutines: can subroutines be more guaranteed as a drop from vaults? Any of these may take some time to figure out so I can’t guarantee quick solutions here but we’ll definitely discuss these topics as a team this week. Thanks for sticking with us as we evolve the game, and helping us fight the good fight against the cyborgs, robots, and aliens!

A 4 month delay for an *Update,* not even an Expansion is... very alarming. This reads to me that you pulled a lot of Devs off Destiny to work on Marathon in order for it to launch on time. Most of the stuff you listed was discussed over a year and a half ago, and quite frankly, it isn't going to be enough to bring players back in the numbers you're hoping to see. The fact that there's been no State of the Game, and the Community not been given a clear vision of Bungie's vision for the future of this Franchise BY NOW... is actually scary, and players have every right to be worried. The next 4 months are going to be absolute hell for the Community, and this Franchise. Godspeed.

Our next Major Update, Destiny 2: Shadow and Order, is undergoing large revisions and will be delayed. This update is being changed and expanded to include sizable quality-of-life updates and as a result, will also be renamed. This update will now launch on June 9, 2026. We will provide exact details closer to release covering previously announced Weapon Tier Upgrading, but also additions like expanding Tiered Gear to all Raid and Dungeon activities, Pantheon 2.0, Tier 5 stats for Exotic Armors, and more. Through June, we will continue to have routine bug fixes and stability improvements, continued portal modifiers, Guardian Games (March), and the return of a more frequent Iron Banner cadence (April). In terms of communications, we will be focusing on providing you with updates about our live game content, community activations, and general upkeep through the TWID and our Destiny social channels. @MacticsG1 Fair this is a take I made after one of the bad twid's and the silence : the problem is staying silent will backfire imo because the part of the playerbase that wants to play both or just destiny will be sour towards marathon

At this point it feels like any roadmap or state of the game type of communication is definitely happening well after marathon release Not much else to say other than it is what it is and that there really needs to be something in there that makes it worth this long of a wait

We have identified an issue where Special Ammo Boxes on Anomaly are not spawning as intended. As such, we are changing the map to Burnout. We hope you enjoy the scenic views of a "dark future" Mercury while defeating your foes. Additionally, we'd like to note that a fix for Lobby Balancing in Trials of Osiris is currently scheduled for January 13 in Destiny 2 Update 9.5.0.5. Stay tuned for patch notes.

We're aware of an issue where players who own all three Dungeon Keys can still purchase the Light and Dark Saga Dungeon Key Pack. This is unintentional, and players who purchase this pack while owning all Dungeon Keys at the time of purchase will receive a refund in the future.
