As a follow up thought to this, I think it's important to commit to the edge and habits you'll be practicing as a seven figure trader long before you get there. People want to do reckless stuff to rapidly increase their balance "then commit to the right things". Churning a system, while appearing slow, is actually the fastest way to make sustainable progress. No matter how big the numbers eventually get, you're not doing too much differently than you were when your account was in the four, five or six figs if you're trading liquid names. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. I'm not a seven figure trader yet, but it's a conversation I try to have with myself daily to keep the blinders on.

If you're a break even trader or in the green slightly, it becomes a game of elimination not addition. Many traders master technical analysis but never take the next step because they don't focus their execution. If I was in that spot again, I'd be labeling every setup I take in my journaling platform and auditing performance by setup every month. I've been helping mentor a trader who told me his specialty was buying washouts, but when we looked at his stats, they were consistently his worst red PnL trades, while buying strength were his biggest green trades. Personally, I am not a good U&R trader, so I ONLY trade strength now. Curate what you see to match your strengths and let the market do the rest. Non-negotiable risk per trade -> Eliminate bad habits -> Full court press your strengths -> repeat weekly/monthly.

Potentially massive development. “Brotherly Iraq is exempt from any restrictions we have imposed on the Strait of Hormuz,” Iran’s military spokesman said. Iraq is the Gulf country that has shut in the most crude production capacity at >3 MMbpd—swinging that back would be huge.

@Rory_Johnston If they open up too much, their main point of leverage in the war is gone or severely weakened. This is a strategic decision.

The thing to watch out for is potential Red Sea supply disruption, either at Yanbu or Bab al-Mandab. This could send oil prices much higher, and could potentially trigger shortages. And it has been threatened but not acted upon yet. x.com/i/status/20371…
Josh Young@JoshYoung

What could change? If Saudi Arabia's Red Sea exports are disrupted, at the Yanbu port or the Bab al-Mandab strait, then shortages would come much sooner and oil prices would rise much higher. Iran has threatened this. Recent image of tankers to/from Yanbu, source unknown.

Austria’s foreign minister: I had a call with the Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas. We discussed the situation in Iran and the spiralling escalation in the Middle East. Diplomatic solutions and de-escalation are urgently needed. #OOTT

I had a call with the Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas @araghchi . We discussed the situation in Iran and the spiralling escalation in the Middle East. Diplomatic solutions and de-escalation are urgently needed. I emphasized the need to end the strikes on neighbouring countries and restore freedom of navigation in the Strait Hormuz especially regarding the humanitarian aspect of global food security with a focus on fertilizers and other essential goods. Regarding the Iranian nuclear program Austria supports any diplomatic way forward that leads to a new agreement and full cooperation with the @iaeaorg . In times like this it is important to maintain dialogue.

@Amena__Bakr Given the geopolitical tensions we're facing right now, wouldn’t it be crazy to see the price back at $120 per barrel again?

The tsunami 🌊 is arriving! Cumulative Middle East supply outages surpassed 300 million barrels now and will hit 600 million barrels if the war doesn’t end and Hormuz remains constrained. #OOTT
