I haven't seen the report yet, but Cantor is valuing the business on a sum-of-the-parts methodology with the biggest part being an 8x multiple on fiscal year 2027 AI revenue estimates.
If I had to guess, they lowered their multiple on AI sales from 8x to something lower.
For reference, this is the SOTP components from their previous $82 price target.

I think this is revolutionary. Your portfolio should not be mostly US equities. That should be like 10-20% of assets. 30-40% should be gold/PMs. 20-30% should be BTC. There should be no bonds. The rest should be EM, especially Latin America, ILF ETF.

Narrative follows price. There is no great bitcoin narrative right now, but the chart tells a very different story. Here is where you buy. Only 4 times in the last five years have you had this opportunity. I have kept my mouth shut on BTC in recent months, but this is it. It was clear on Sunday as futures opened. Everything was down but BTC, then all the other markets followed BTC up. Bouncing at this level for 6-8 weeks is normal. That bouncing is done. Time to move up. BTC futures, IBIT call spreads, etc. I've added to all of them today.

No, not exactly. In late 2022 (Nov-Dec, when BTC was hovering ~$16k after FTX), Willy's posts highlighted his Max Pain model at ~$13k, Balanced Price ~$15k, and CVDD floor at $16k being tested. He was cautious that a macro bottom wasn't confirmed yet—similar tone to his current chart—but didn't call for a drop to $12k. The actual low was ~$15.5k in Nov '22.

There's a chance the bulls are right... but for these levels to be a bottom, price needs to go sideways for many months to create a structural floor. So there's no rush because that floor hasn't been created yet.
Bears are about patience.
