The usual case is: a company uses a shitty registrar like Godaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace, Domain, OVH, Gandi, etc, then the threat actor impersonates the domain owner and does social engineer on the registrar customer support, resetting access to the account. When they have access to the account they update the DNS and sometimes move the domain to a new registrar.

What terrifies me is that it's 512,000 lines of TypeScript code.
HALF A MILLION lines of code for what's essentially a glorified API wrapper.
I think the crucial point in our reality when we took the wrong turn was the invention of JavaScript.
And we cemented our path to doom with the invention of TypeScript.

Today we have 4 offers of license requests if the technology can be demonstrated. I must say I am floored at how the CEO found the exact person who needed to hear this.
