@TSDR_Trading Haha too real. We all have a bias for the green stats. But honestly, if price is moving, everything else is just noise.

The Nasdaq 100 $QQQ closed up more than 0.5%. Fewer than 29% of stocks on the Nasdaq advanced today. This has not happened in at least 28 years.

@RibeyeJim That's the playbook right now cash is king. The data actually backs you up; this level of divergence is pretty rare.

@EmoryExplorer i see it concentrated on the 20 or so companies with he most cash. That being said, it's just an observation, I don't have the data to back it up.

@EmoryExplorer Look at that chart ⬆️ The next few months will be rough. Inflation coming back in a major way will hurt everything

@JackHansenFIT interesting setup, so you’re basically mapping today to that lagging top structure or just noting the timing similarity?

@jasongoepfert 7 months after the week of 1/3/2000 the S&P was higher. Then the drop started.

On Monday, the S&P 500 $SPY closed at a record high. The next day, at least 1% more stocks hit a 52-week low than a 52-week high. In 70+ years of history, that's happened twice. Yesterday was one. January 3, 2000 was the other.

@jasongoepfert Timing is too difficult. We all know SPY crash is coming but the best thing to do isn’t shorting but simply selling all large caps and wait.
