I'm afraid that we're not going to make our funding goal with kickstarter this time. My social media engagement has basically died and I'm not sure if anyone actually watches our show anymore. I kind of feel like a ghost and I don't believe in ghosts.

How is nobody mentioning about that dumb article that “dinergoths” as described are not in fact goth at all or even derivative of goth but are rather neurodivergent and/or queer nerd dorks

@_nomadic_soul Im sorry, being honest with you. Girl's see your generation and don't want it. Men want a lady who doesn't nag and force control. A man comes home, he doesn't want to deal with you. He wants quiet, peace, a beer, and relax. That's why he left. You don't offer that.

@JessPected The other thing that would also happen is that men would just get used to seeing natural women’s faces and they’d still want women lmao it would change nothing at all

@FirstOrderPixie I think the hope is that if women aren't wearing makeup, they'll be insecure & lower their standards so unfuckable men finally have a shot. Except banning makeup won't make those men desirable. They still think they're competing with "Chads" instead of our peace.

She... looks exactly the same. The VP wears more eyeliner than she does. Men who wake up next to women aren't baffled by women without eyeliner & lip gloss.

I love how zoomers seem to think it’s totally normal to walk around with their bare midriffs showing in the middle of the day in public. Like, no… anyway, here’s the attention you ordered!

@goblinodds I do not like exposing my midriff mainly because I don’t like the feeling of cool air on my skin there. And having been told I was a square and a prude for ages because I didn’t want to wear croptops, it’s some wild whiplash to see people now shaming women for midriff again lmao

fascinating levels of prudishness in the replies. midriff exposure was huge like 25 years ago so im wondering what % of people specifically upset by her midriff doesnt know that their moms used to dress like this, or that trends come back around every couple decades

well I can't read the article because i'm not paying...but I would say for 99% of people, non-monogamy absolutely will not lighten the load. Not only will you need to COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR SPOUSE (which people seem incapable of when it's just them) you have to now navigate other sexual relationships. I'm sorry to tell everyone this, but sex actually does make for extra complications in a social contract. Imagine being like..wow I'm so overwhelmed with work and childcare and my husband...what if I added dating into the mix
Leah Libresco Sargeant@LeahLibresco

Begging people to remember you can have *friends* "For these moms, non-monogamy seems to offer more than just a way to reclaim their libido. Could it also be the secret to raising kids without completely resenting one’s husband?" thecut.com/article/non-mo…

@FirstOrderPixie @estherzelda0514 That’s a ridiculous take. A man who is self-aware enough to recognize that his lower-third is an aesthetic weakness isn’t the type of man who is going to completely forgo the most basic levels of grooming (i.e. “getting a haircut”). And a recessed jaw *will* nuke your looks.

While American female beauty standards have only escalated in the last 40 to 50 years, male beauty standards have fallen off a cliff. Men in the 1980s were expected to daily do their hair, sometimes using even more products than women. If you went to a club, men wore elaborate, fashionable outfits, accessories, and layers. Today, women wear far more makeup, and far more types of makeup exist. But finding hairspray, mouse, or a blow-dryer in a man's bathroom is rare, nearly all his shirts will be black, the pants he wears to a club are likely not to fit properly, and he is likely to be called a slur for homosexual if he wears accessories and a leather jacket. He will show up to work with his hair brushed, at best, and an unkempt scruff or beard. If he joins the military or goes to a school with an uniform, the standards for personal hygiene will feel oppressive, but women will find them refreshingly simple. The explanation is that men simply are not trying anymore, nor are they expected to. We evolved over millions of years by female-driven mate selection, like nearly all social mammals. The truth, recognized even by Darwin at the advent of the discovery of evolution, is that women typically serve as reproductive gatekeepers, because they bear much higher biological costs of reproduction than men. The falling rates of people dating or marrying have many factors, but this likely is one of them. Many women find dating these days to be too costly with little reward. Why put on airs and break out hundreds of dollars worth of personal hygiene products and makeup to meet a man who shows up late, finds one to be an acceptable number of eyebrows, and will ask you, eyeing your breasts in a fetching push-up bra, what you bring to the table, as if he is the prize to be wooed?

There’s a conversation happening on TikTok where the girls are finally talking about how a lot of men aren’t actually attractive. Like you go to the grocery store and see a ton of stunning women, but men? You will remember how many months back you last saw a hot man.

@estherzelda0514 Exactly. It isn’t that there are no men that could be attractive it’s that “being attractive” actually takes some care in your appearance and men are not willing to do it

@ouranometrian2 spend the same amount of TIME with them as a monogamous partner would. Same amount of dates, sleepovers, supportive efforts. None of which can be stretched over multiple people while still maintaining the same amount each that you’d put into ONE person.

@ouranometrian2 In my own experiences with non-monogamy it isn’t even the sex that causes resentment it’s the time. You have someone who in theory is like “yeah I don’t have any negative feelings about my partner having sex with other people” but they absolutely still expect their partner to

Almost everyone in the world views AI as a cheat-code that lets you get out of doing work. It’s a tool that lets you pull one over on your annoying boss or the mean professor. If you are seeing AI output, however, it means someone is trying to pull one over on you, which sucks.
csz@cszabla

this is just a reddit post from a random anon account but it gets at something only vaguely beginning to dawn on AI advocates: you can sell it as a shortcut for work but that doesn’t necessarily mean people want to consume the work produced by it
