Lowering LDL will extend lifespans. The trials, the genetic studies, and even the prospective cohort studies all agree that the more you lower LDL, the greater the reduction in your risk of heart disease. This is one of the clearest chronic disease prevention findings there is.

@GrumpyTechBro @cat_powered @cremieuxrecueil I'm not a medical professional and see a cardiologist, but: 1. The HDL/cholesterol ratio is now considered totally bogus, 2. If your eGFR is low and you are using creatine you need to use a different biomarker since it throws it off, 3. watch that PSA!
