@crisortunity We can't have trams because they would push traffic off the main roads onto the side roads and we can't have LTNs because they would push traffic from the side roads onto the main roads.

This trip has left me even more convinced that Ealing would be vastly improved with a tram and we should revive Ken Livingston’s proposal for this forthwith

@BetterEaling LTNs are getting ripped out because residents are sick of taxpayer funded gated communities for the wealthy Middle classes that dump traffic and pollution on the less well off. These selfish schemes divide communities, harm local business and bus timetables.

LTNs started being ripped out in Ealing days after there was a leadership change in the majority party that controlled the council, and parking spaces painted back in very shortly afterwards. Yet people have been waiting for years for safety improvements on Uxbridge Road.
