By remaking a 'classic' they know people love, they can count on people wanting to see it.
But remaking a movie people consider lame doesn't have that draw.

@JohnnyLamonte @Richmond_Lee The style of one hundred and one Dalmatians was really influential and beloved by a lot of animatiors.
The fact it was cheaper and faster also helped!

@Richmond_Lee This reminds me of discovering that Akira Toriyama himself was greatly inspired by 101 Dalmatians of all Disney films, made crazier when this was considered one of the ''cheaper'' films they made.

I was extremely fortunate to have seen Disney's Tarzan in theaters as a teenager. It blew me away. It's one of my absolute favorite Disney films. Looking back on it nearly 30 years later it's clear it had an even bigger impact on anime than American animation.

@arainydancer I don't know what you have access to where you live, but maybe you should look in to surplus then. They look neutral, and the pockets are made for large magazines so they are convenient for storing all kinds of things! I have one from the 80's that i sometimes use when hiking.

A chest rig unironically would be a pretty handy women's wear especially with the lack of pockets in their outfits, but why is everything so... tactical... Everything has MOLLE and velcro. my girlfriend low-key wants one but she doesnt want to look like an airsofter

I read issue one of the new series Royals by Derek Kirk Kim and Jacob Perez.
The story seems interesting so far, but I'm blown away by Jacob Perez's art!
He was a character designer for Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and you can really see it here. So stylish!
