@CFBNerds True. I'm still hold out hope that the CFP ranking process evolves & becomes analytical to reward SOS. Ending high end OOC matchups makes CFB less interesting & ranking isolated conferences is tough. Also need to honestly rank G6 programs.

@echun I agree. And it’s not unfair or unreasonable to expect teams to cancel these OOC games in an era of schedule asymmetry where loss column is king

If you're Notre Dame and picking between Wake and Miami for that final schedule spot, the powers that be have literally incentivized you both monetarily and on playoff advantage to schedule Wake CFB brass has done everything possible to nuke interesting regular season dynamics

@CFBNerds It will be interesting to see how this upcoming schedule goes for Ohio State. An absolutely brutal schedule and keeping these tough OOC matchups like Texas, Alabama, and UGA on the schedule is something that needs to be looked at.

Furthermore, this is in no way a shot at Notre Dame. Notre Dame would be stupid to make it harder than they absolutely need to now that they have a mandate. All of CFB is now in loss mitigation. Any school would/should do the same if in ND's shoes as the original tweet suggests.
