Have you done your written submission on the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill? You do it online. Your first sentence is: I oppose the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill. Submissions close Tuesday. Here is the link for you to do it online: parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/make-…

@ajthompson13 @Joe_Trinder Let me explain it in simple terms for you then. The government has induced a recession. This has resulted in a loss of investor confidence and we are running a trade deficit. Interest rates are reduced. All leading to a lower value of the NZD against a basket of currencies

The exchange rate is the worst I’ve seen in decades. Nicola Willis incompetence is astounding, the blame labour alibi’s, but is willing to take credit for any raise in the OCR combined with an austerity budget that disrupts a delicate economic ecosystem. Willis a new broom trying to sweep is causing economic vandalism, that will take decades to recover from if we can before becoming a banana republic. Offering tax breaks to the real estate industry was a tragic mistake she needed to avoid making drastic sweeping changes and allow the economy to adapt after an election. But she went ahead rip shit and bust and scared every CFO in the country creating a fear of spending mentality. If you like being forced to relocate to Australia to survive vote for Nicola to cook the books at the next elections.

Allow me to correct this disinformation every treaty settlement in history is equivalent to the defence budget for a single year. Redress for land theft is equivalent to 2% of the value of stolen Real Estate. Coloniser fragility is rampant here on anonymous X accounts because at the end of the day they know they’re telling porkies.

Billions and billions have been paid to Maori But Maori still turn up unfavourably in important statistics like education, health, employment, crime etc Why aren't regular Maori benefiting? Where did the billions go? Elites? Leaders? Lawyers? Politicians? Cronies?

@Joe_Trinder Joe, My guess, but I like to think a lot of the negative guilt responses you get are just nasty bots from some right wing orgs. Real people surely wouldn't waste that much time being nasty.

I finally made a YouTube video after 11 months of procrastination! 🥳 youtube.com/watch?v=-7f1_h… forcing myself to get in front of the camera, impart my knowledge, and share the final product no matter what. goal: turn it into a habit and improve with practice⚡️

@AfricanHub_ thank you for sharing - very sad to see humanity proving just how bad we can be. This is the first time I have heard of this history. I would like to watch the documentary - does anyone know who presenting it or what the name of the documentary is?

@ChShersh I don't agree with this take. Although I would say it is an OS better suited (and tooled) for developers. Over the last four years, it has been a great experience for me. However, the behaviour of those trying to manage/govern the project has been depressing/oppressive at times.

@_davideast Congratulations on the release - it looks great. I am a big fan of devenv.sh, I see some similarities. I would love it if you could advocate for Nix at Google - there have been funding issues in the last few years.

@canderlodge As you are a Labour party supporter, how do you justify the National debt going from 5 Billion to over $100 billion in 6 years! Would be interested in your opinion.

Anyone else just whipping through the tweets & hitting like on virtually every one? There's just so much wrong with this awful govt, it's PM, ministers & policies. I don't think anybody could have predicted that they would be THIS bad. It's now hard to find anyone without a gripe

@Deor Neovim and vs code are both good, but I have been gravating more and more towards helix - it is just so nice. Also using codeium more that vs code now - kind of the same, but works nicer with extensions for NixOS. Check out helix if you have time.

@Grady_Booch Nonsense wrapped up to sound like learned wisdom. You aren't directing, reviewing and redirecting what is produced - or giving good requirements if you are having these kinds of concerns. Maybe set up your environment better?

@jtregunna @AstraKernel Likewise, tiling managers solve things for me locally. If I am remote I might use tmux as well if I need to persist a long running shell - just in case I lose the connection.

As silly as it sounds, I don't use tmux much anymore. I usually lay out 4 terminals side by side, and cmd+left/right to switch between them. Faster than C-b left/right/up/down in practice. I can't always keep tracn of what number a pane is, and never got into that habit of laying them out the same. But 49" monitor, so lots of horizontal space. Each term if in vi, has about 130 characters of horizontal space

I have used 1. Kitty + Tmux 2. Alacritty + Zellij 1st is my favorite I just tried : Alacritty + Tmux I feel it's blazingly faster than previous combinatios. I'm not sure whether my mind is playing illusion 🤔
