Even if true, I distinctly remember a similar play Wemby had on Rudy in the wolves series where he was given the benefit of the doubt on the block even though he hit arm after. Some calls go your way and some don’t. Also, for better or worse refs are usually gonna let players decide the game in end of clock situations unless the fouls are egregious.

Can’t be doing this. In the full clip OG gets ball first. Can’t be posting screenshots with no context. Fox should’ve dribbled the clock out.

Rewatching the OG Anunoby’s “block” on De’Aaron Fox at the end of Game 4 & it looks like he may have gotten away with a foul… It looks like the force of OG hitting Fox’s arm is what caused the ball to only softly hit the backboard. Fox retains firm possession of the ball even as OG seems to slightly tip it in Fox’s lay-up progression. In the NBA, slight contact with the ball does not automatically make all subsequent contact legal. It’s still a bonehead play by Fox to go for the lay-up imo, but did the Knicks get away with a foul?

@Biyombonesaw I’ve always hated the “refs can’t call it every time” stance that teams very much do take, and not just with Wemby. Yes, you can. Call it every time. Make them stop fouling. Don’t be scared to foul everyone out. That’s on the players.

The issue is more that teams don't really understand how to defend him, so they just foul every possession, and the refs can't call it every time
