@vivigrot @babekyukare It won't lower the price of games, just increase profits of developers. Whilst not necessarily a bad thing, it certainly isn't going to do much for the consumer

Valve is a "monopoly", because the users are genuinely satisfied with Steam and its sale offerings. Maybe other companies should take an example from Valve and not to be a bitch.

@hicasamadim I would say it has multiple answers, only ones I can see are either 8 or 4. 8 is purely just removing the lines from the top, doing the same for the numbers, 4 for horizontal lines x vertical lines or how many intersections there are

Do you use doubles? DON'T USE `sqrt` or `length` in HLSL!
Be super careful if your application relies on numerically stable calculations with doubles(fp64) like us.
HLSL/DXC implicitly casts fp64 to/from fp32 on `sqrt` and `length`; It makes error propagation worse and cause unexpected numerical issues.
That's another reason we prefer to use SPIR-V intrinics in HLSL and bypass HLSL functions. (IIRC SPIR-V extended instructions support float64 sqrt given Float64 Capability)

@MustacheBob2 Apparently no burn through for flight 12 so that would mean that the heat shield officially works and obviously they have all exploded, it has literally been expected for all of them, as in, land in the ocean and explode

They all exploded. The heat shield still doesn't work. By this same time the Apollo program had put a human on the moon.

Modern Unreal Engine vs what we used to have.
Lumen is noisier and slower.
Baked lighting meant gigabytes to download.
Which would you choose? Would you trade 100gb of baked lighting for FPS in a modern game?

One screenshot uses Lumen and has 55fps, another -baked lighting and has 120 fps. Spot the difference. #UE5

@grantjbailey They no longer go to parties or have social life. Similar downward curve in relationship/marriage stats. People spend time alone in their homes with their devices.

@sweenus987 @TaraBull Some places require 20% gratuity automatically, making sure the servers get paid, but in my restaurant we have 40 servers at once, I work at the Texas Roadhouse with the most guest count in the world, paying them a check like I get paid would be outrageous, make the company broke
