RIGHT NOW: @DermotPhelanMD and @AtriumHealth Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute Sports Cardiology Center part of a late-breaking clinical trial presented at #ACC23 / #WCCardio looking at returning elite athletes back to play with sudden cardiac predisposing heart conditions.
✅After comprehensive evaluation, treatment optimization, and SDM, 4% of patients chose not to return to sport.
✅5% were cleared to RTP but disqualified by team medical professionals.
✅Only 4% experienced BCE during 200 follow-up years.
