@AVARY I think I'm done with his shows. While I'm thankful for the entertainment I don't want to get strung along just for the tone or mood or "feel" of a show anymore. They have to get back to telling a story and stories need payoffs and endings to work.

I may not be too cool for many things, but I just feel too cool to watch mainstream streaming television, like I’m just gonna stick with watching rumble in the Bronx on Tubi for free and I think that’s OK. Streaming TV is made for the yuppies that work in this industry and nobody else.

I'm a fan. Basically a Twilight Zone episode stretched as a series. I'm interested to see where it goes for Season 2. I like the thought experiment of "What if there was a zombie takeover/end of the world- but it's kind of a good thing?" I like how the show wrote itself into a corner into the second episode. There won't be finding a new group of survivors every season like a zombie show. Gilligan says he at least 4 seasons worth of story to tell. Of everything Gilligan compared and drew inspiration for his show to I Dream of Jeannie, where if the character just got everything they wanted- there would be no show. The show/story comes from conflict and Carol's stubbornness is what drives that.

I thought it was another fantasy about liberals converting or removing conservatives and the one sided bliss that would force on earth. btw I only made it 13 minutes into One Battle After Another before I turned it off. This is not entertainment, it is a radical political fantasy with A-list celebs.
