@AlexMSolana Tua played a large part in 2 head coaches getting fired in Miami. Zero chances these smart people from GB are coming here, looking at that, and saying...."What could Possibly Go Wrong?! Let's Keep him for one more year." lol
Tua is GONE!
@AlexMSolana Who else they have at QB? Unless they sign a free agent QB or trade for one, what will they do? Go young again? If Tua becomes a cancer in locker, get rid fo him. If not, keep him next season. Tua needs to try & look good for future suitors, if he wants to play for another team.
I have to agree with Crowder here I don’t see the point in letting Tua go this year. They are paying him either way. But I don’t think they want to win next year I expect the team to get gutted hopefully they hang onto Waddle and Achane, although they bring the most trade capital to the table.
@AlexMSolana It makes absolutely zero business sense to move on. You keep Tua while he’s a giant cap hit and have him compete with Quinn. You either get a better Quinn or Tua at his best and you get a true evaluation of the position and what to do moving forward. It was one bad year
@AlexMSolana Never understood why Tua was not the starter in week the final game of the season…all of the rest of the starters were out and Ewers was left out there all by himself..
@AlexMSolana I believe Tua got complacent and took his position for granted especially after signing a new deal BUT him getting benched and now having a new GM HC and OC that he will feel the need to perform and do it at a high level
I mean he’s owned $$ for next season anyway sooo…
Keeping Tua would be a terrible idea. 1. He's part of the issue with the current culture.
2. If you keep him you have to start him, because if you try and start Ewers over him and he struggles, players know Tua gives them the best chance to win, and you will lose the locker room if you refuse to put him in.
3. If you start him you likely aren't getting a high draft pick. He will probably play similar to this year where he wins just enough games to keep you out of the playoffs but too many to keep you out of a top 10 pick.
4. The point of getting Malik Willis is he'll likely be bad enough to get you a top 10 pick, but there is the possibility that he could be another Sam Darold.
@AlexMSolana Please, Tua is Broken, Kinda like Jay Ajayi. Good for a hiccups time. Window is now closed. If Willis cost too much, Bring Will Levis to battle Ewers, and draft a QB
@AlexMSolana Because a coach who doesn’t know football given why he got fired said he was going to put the best Qb to give the chance to win and losses horrifically no y’all forget that Tua has given you more than any other Qb beside Marino has
@AlexMSolana Agree. He looked happy as the backup last year. Keep him there this year. Start Ewers and see what he is. Maybe take a flier on another QB in the draft as well. Going after Willis is like the Jets getting Fields last year
@AlexMSolana I’ve been a dolphins fan for 40 years.. if they sign Tua to another contract I’m would literally become a Jacksonville fan.. I can’t with this guy! I mean it’s over.. doesn’t he understand how far Tua has set back the franchise.. we’re done with him!!
@AlexMSolana Keep him. If you want to move on, let him be the backup or 3rd string. No reason to take a huge cap hit. Maybe he snaps out of the fog he seemed to be in last year and returns to form then he becomes much more tradeable after next season. Either way, it is much more palatable
@AlexMSolana distraction city.Old regime old problems. No one needs to have a constant reminder of his bloated salary crazily given to him by the previous admin!
