Bro, I love you and truly hope that you come to know Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior.
But this? This is by far one of the most inaccurate things you've said lately on this topic.
James is not comparing "faith alone" to demonic doctrine. He makes it clear that intellectual knowledge by itself, or acknowledgement of Christ, is the same thing demons do. Demons cannot put faith IN Christ, but they believe about Christ. They know He is Lord, but they do not trust in Him.
This is the distinction he's making; saving faith -which produces works- is true, living faith. Dead faith has no fruit, no saving value, and is faith that does not give Christ the preeminence.
English

@DocKrease 1. I know Christ and he knows me, per scripture.
2. It’s quite literally what James does, verbatim
English

@DocKrease @BrysonGray Luther edited the Scripture and added the word "alone"
Its a false gospel
English

Did you retardz in the word ever think that when someone points out an obvious truth in the Bible that conflicts with your denominational belief, that there maybe something wrong with your "belief" and not the Word of God? The guy preaching the truth from the book is the guy who actually knows the Messiah, not you!
English

@DocKrease @BrysonGray Zach, I agree with you fully except for one point
This is not even close to the worst thing this guy has ever said.... Not even close
English

@DocKrease @BrysonGray He doesn't know ro Rightly Divide the Word of Truth, he's trying to believe in Israel's program, and faith in one's own efforts, which means Jesus didn't do enough. Our Gospel comes from Apostle Paul our appointed representative of Christ to us.
English

"He makes it clear that intellectual knowledge by itself, or acknowledgement of Christ, is the same thing demons do"
Exactly, faith alone as dead faith.
Clear as a bell.
"Not by faith alone"
What part of that scripture quite do people not understand?
Some think there is an intellectual belief (faith) that does includes the submission to works and another that does not.
This is cobbled into one artificial category
While the magic (non intellectual) faith is another category in which you can have a faith without works that is not dead. Which somehow results in works. This is openly contrary to Jame's teachings.
Some people insist in dividing faith that works from works that save.
Abraham himself was saved by his works. The works of his faith was how he was justified.
The point of this seems to be lost on most everyone be causes of this religious BS.
Faith is why you do what you do. That is what matters.
That is what makes the difference between the works of faith (in his love and his word) and the works of the law (your trying to appease and be good enough).
This whole faith works debate is a discraction from where the issue rests.
Who do you belong to?
Works people and faith without works people still belong to themselves.
Faith people no longer belong to themselves and live in the obedience to faith, as faith. They are not their own.
Confess Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) as lord of your life in place of you. There is a reason all the parables require ALL as the price by which we obtain the treasure we could never afford.
It not works to be good enough.
It is faith to belong to yourself no longer.
Lordship salvation is about belonging.
Lord Jesus I am yours. Do with me whatever you please.
Command me however you please. Discipline me however you please. My hope is in you.
English

@DocKrease @BrysonGray Bro - it’s not hard - if you want eternal life - follow the commandments
