@IterIntellectus Humans are navigated by biological instinct "to change the world". No changes => self destruction mechanism - depression - is launched. The same way squirrel is depressed without running. And cat is depressed without hunting.

@IterIntellectus True. And the more grand/eternal the quest, the better. I had had short-term materialistic quests when I was younger, only to be let down—like a dog which caught the car he was chasing—when I succeeded in my quests.
