Cool modeling!👍
Get some glitter to represent Starlink and other satellites 🛰️…
Show people where those orbit.
And show the 5 Earth-Moon Lagrange points and the Sun-Earth L2 to represent where JWST is.
Oh and how far “geosynchronous orbits” are compared to the LEO being used by StarLink, Amazon, China and ISS…
It takes models to scale like this…
Or pictures…
…to make it sink in just how BIG and EMPTY “Space” is!

To go with my 10cm globe I got a 2.5cm marble to represent the Moon (it’s a mm or two too small but close enough)
Without working it out, have a guess how far apart I would have to place them to be scale correct?

Peter Hague@peterrhague
I bought a 10cm globe as I need a visual aid for something, and I wasn’t prepared for how satisfying it is to hold in my hand.

This is one of the most important moments ever aired on CNBC.
Billionaire investor Chamath Palihapitiya says the media lied to millions of Americans about President Trump, and that after going back to the original source material, he realized he had been completely misled about Trump’s character.
PALIHAPITIYA: “The reality is that most of us were lied to by the media about President Trump.”
“And if you just go back to the source material, you should take away two things.”
“One, he didn’t say half the things he said, and two, why did these other people just fabricate what they wanted to say so that they could essentially assassinate his character?”
“I think that that second thing is completely unacceptable in America, and there’s still been no repercussions, really.”
“I took the time to learn about it. I admitted where…you know, the way that I met him was, I admitted on the pod, which, you know, has millions of viewers.”
“And I said, I got it totally wrong because I went and I watched Charlottesville.”
“And, you know, the first person to call me? President Trump.”
“And I got to know him and I put the phone down, I called my wife, and I said, we got it TOTALLY, totally wrong. We were lied to.”
“And then I got to know him and he is fantastic!”

@JoshuaKhane You relied on cloud storage when you could have easily kept local copies of everything on a hard drive too.
It's all on you.

English

Yes…
This is correct.
But you have to teach them some form of the 321 best practice… people don’t know it.
And people also don’t keep shifting their memories from media to new media as the tech changes.
The media with the best proven track record is clay tablets from the multiple Mesopotamian civilizations.
That handles text, but no one’s managed to encode color photos onto it yet… 🤔
So archival paper and photographs.
It’s “brilliant” Big Tech Bros have been selling us Cloud BULLSHIT for decades now…

Microsoft DELETED my account AND OneDrive!!?? After ACKNOWLEDGING that I’m the owner of the account and that it was compromised???
25 fucking years of data, thousands of euros spended on games?? My son’s baby pictures? GONE!
All because MICROSOFT couldn’t bring back a compromised account??
One of the biggest companies ever coulnd’t do that so they just deleted that shit like it was nothing?? Fucking shame on you!! @microsoftnl @MicrosoftHelps @MicrosoftHelpt @Microsoft
#microsoft #hacked

English

They DO NOT CARE.
I’m sorry for your lost memories.
The whole 🤬 thing is a scam.
Everyone watching your experience should know that NONE OF BIG TECH cares!
Your memories and work are NOTHING to them except an excuse for them to get you to pay them!
Back everything up on 2 or more external forms of media (2 or more types is better)… and keep your memories moving from media to media as technology changes and time passes. You cannot even rely on your media working 50 years in the future…
…(unless you’re using proven archival print and photo media).
English

@TheHauskarl Yes, I had for all my other accounts. This just slipped pass me. So yes, lesson learned. But it fuckes me up the most that a trillion dollar company, one of the biggest tech companies in the world is not able (or is not willing) to just recover my account and deletes it.

Re-Posting My Exclusive Whistleblower Account:

“…better material was available the whole time…”
No. It was NOT.
1.) You have to delignify the wood AND YOUR AI slop video STATES that didn’t happen until 1992, an effort not revisited for still a decade later!
2.) You’re describing vacuum filling microscopic pores with clear resin…
Technology that’s only been available at most 100 years… AND YOU🫵 CAN’T even provide a video of THAT concept actually working at a small batch level of manufacturing!
👉BULLSHIT slop AI engagement baiting!

One dose of a frog-gut bacterium completely eliminated colorectal tumors in every treated mouse.
Not merely shrank them. Complete response.
The bacterium, Ewingella americana, multiplied roughly 3,000-fold inside the tumors within 24 hours. It attacked cancer cells directly while recruiting T cells, B cells, and neutrophils.
In the experiment, it outperformed four doses of anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy and liposomal doxorubicin.
Then researchers rechallenged the cured mice with the tumor:
0/10 developed tumors.
10/10 untreated mice did.
The bacterium disappeared from the bloodstream within 24 hours and wasn’t detected in healthy organs.
It’s one small mouse study, not a human cancer cure. But the concept is remarkable: a living drug that finds the tumor, multiplies inside it, destroys it, and potentially teaches the immune system to remember.
In the foreseeable future, we will cure all cancers.

And Jules… maybe you should look in the mirror 🪞…
Whether it’s us or plants…
Have we reached the level where life obviously flourished with fauna sufficient to support dinosaurs?
Nope.
Grok notes… “In short: Roughly 2–5 times more CO₂ (or ~800–2,000+ ppm on average) than today during peak dinosaur times, with extremes possibly much higher.”
Adapt or go run your A/C some more…
English

@gazcon there is around 3 trillion tonnes of CO2 in the atmosphere- humans have contributed 1 trillion tonnes
that is a lot
if you cannot comprehend a subject perhaps don't comment on it

Maybe genius 150 you Trump obsessed nuts ruining Texas in Austin can figure out how to house the homeless in your rich gated communities on the west side… BEFORE you start advising how TEMPORARY Senate seat REPLACEMENTS are placed in SOUTH 🤬 CAROLINA which is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
🤬 Democrat Busybodies…
English

This seems pretty crazy: Just handing over a U.S. Senate seat to a completely unqualified SISTER of the senator who just died? Shouldn't voters have a say in this? Or are we back to "royal bloodlines" now?
Nancy Mace@NancyMace
I wholeheartedly support the President in his recommendation. What a wonderful idea!

😠Are you part of the Candace Jones fact-network?
The people in NoVa don’t even know where Roanoke is!
I’ve driven all over that state on backroads and there’s NO WAY people all over that state felt something at the same time without West Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland all feeling it too.
BTW this is the 2nd bullshit post about Virginia shaking I’ve seen in two weeks.
I guess you thought the last one was successful. Why don’t you link to your other 49 states are shaking posts and keep it easy on all of us!
English

UNEXPLAINED RUMBLING SPREADS ACROSS VIRGINIA
Something strange is happening across parts of Virginia.
Reports of deep rumbling and brief ground shaking began coming in from multiple communities, with people describing a low vibration beneath the ground before everything suddenly went quiet.
Some heard a loud rumble. Others reported windows rattling or floors lightly shaking. Whatever people experienced, similar reports surfaced from different areas across the state.
As of now, no official cause has been confirmed, and there have been no widespread reports of damage.
👇 Did anyone else hear or feel this?

If YOU 🫵 or Claude Fable are so 🤬 intelligent…
Then DETAIL an alternative to free market capitalism that actually WORKS and MAXIMIZES LIBERTY!
IF anyone else wants to chime in here and say “Socialism”… then feel free to point me to the webpage at .@DemSocialists detailing how they’ll run a civilization’s economy DIFFERENTLY and SUCCESSFULLY.
THOSE Socialist scum are simply gathering “useful idealistic idiots” for the next great human misery version of socialism.
But I digress… Claude Fable… won’t tell you shit on how to successfully escape the “greatest scam of humanity”.
So until YOU 🫵 or it DETAIL that plan…
No. I am NOT BUYING YOUR product or service!

You’re in a QuikTrip anywhere in the USA 🇺🇸 and that’s the robot model that spares their staff from having to spend 30 minutes every so many hours mopping the whole store’s floor to keep it clean from all the customers they get.
You could have grabbed a Mississippi sign off the internet, is that part even true.
If they didn’t have the robots, you’d be seeing someone with a mop bucket.
They mop SEVERAL TIMES a day!
Regardless of if there’s a robot doing it or not.
English

Alright, it’s official. The world is coming to a slow-motion, apocalyptic end. 🤯
I’m standing in a gas station somewhere in the sticks of Sisterbang Mississippi, and they’ve got a fully functioning autonomous robot. Granted, the thing looks like a discontinued MS-DOS model that’s been hillbillied back into existence with some rusted banjo strings, a little WD-40, and pure hope.
Honestly, given the collective tooth count behind the cash register, I’m deeply impressed by this level of redneck engineering.
You expect advanced AI in Silicon Valley or Tokyo, but seeing a scrap-heap Cyberdyne unit scrubbing tiles next to the roller-grill taquitos is genuinely terrifying.
At this rate, it’s only a matter of time before Bocephus is strapping a lawn chair to an industrial drone, bombing his neighbor's house with Coors Light cans from 5,000 feet because they had a heated disagreement over whose goat gives better head.
We are officially living in the strangest timeline. 🪕🌿
