Dear @PVDMayor, What exactly was divisive? The mural? Or the murder that made it necessary? You didn’t call the crime divisive. You didn’t call the cover-up divisive. You waited until people started grieving in public. That’s when you found your voice. Iryna boarded a train after work. She didn’t make this political. You did.

Providence Mayor defends his call for removal of Iryna mural: “This has not brought us closer together as a community, in fact, has been quite divisive and even a little bit ugly." Says if someone else wanted to house the mural: “We wouldn’t prevent them from putting it up….but again I'm not sure that it's helpful to the community." Pathetic.

@NotTheirScript @PVDMayor He is the divisive one. Creating a divisive issue (removing the mural) when one did not exist before. BTW, have all other murals in the city, including any Floyd murals, gone thru all “proper channels”?
