BREAKING: Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey spoke publicly for the first time about the #25Investigates probe into overtime reporting discrepancies at a MassDOT highway maintenance depot. The story first aired on #Boston25 Tuesday evening. Here is the verbatim transcript: Governor Healey: "Look, I'm outraged. I mean, look—any time somebody is ripping off the public, ripping off taxpayers, I am outraged. I hope whatever the investigation yields, know that they're going to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law." Question: "Do you believe higher-ups were complicit in this, or were they just asleep at the switch?" Governor Healey: "Don't know enough yet. But I have directed Secretary Gulliver (Transportation Undersecretary) to get to the bottom of all of this. And, you know, I have zero tolerance for this. As a former attorney general, I prosecuted cases of fraud, including against public employees. And I'll make sure that happens now. If people are screwing around—they're not at work, they're not where they're supposed to be—it's outrageous. I work with people across state government, local government, and federal government who show up every day and do their jobs and work really hard. And that's what the public deserves. That's what the public expects. But boy, when I saw that, I went through the roof. And so, yeah... I'm sure people will lose their jobs. And I'm [sure] that people will face some criminal investigations and prosecutions."

We need change in California--I am the only candidate offering the change we need and the plans to do it. California should be the most desirable and flourishing place in the world. Instead, we have the highest unemployment rate, highest poverty rate, and highest cost of living. That all ends when I'm governor. ☀️👊 @FoxBusiness @MariaBartiromo
