One of the most socially acceptable sins among Christians: slander

@PrestonSprinkle Interesting that you and @ThabitiAnyabwil are so strongly condemning Anthony Bradley for his behavior this past week. An apparent change from some earlier comments, but I’m glad to see you both take a firm stand on his sin.

@PrestonSprinkle Slander would entail an inaccurate depiction of him and his work. I guess depending on one’s theological framework, there are going to be different takes on what’s true here.

@PrestonSprinkle This is fully true. And it is 'more true' for the pastor ministering in obscurity slandered by the tares around his church than public Christians slinging mud at each other. Pray for the little guy whose family and ministry really depends on it.

@PrestonSprinkle I’ve seen zero “slander” of Ron Burns. I’ve seen a LOT of calling out his racism, his crooked theology, and his intellectual dishonesty.

@PrestonSprinkle well, to clarify, slander is a false & defamatory statement. if it's true, or even if the speaker believes it to be true, it's not slander. if your actions/beliefs are objectionable to someone enough for them to comment on it, toughen up & take it. too many delicate teacup-men.

@PrestonSprinkle All those promoting sin will call truthful rebuke slander. From affirming immoral, sinful deviations from God’s ordered sexuality to the sin of partiality. You will he held accountable for every word spoken and every warning unheeded.
