I hate that this needs to be clarified but: No, Elon did not criticize Trump personally first. Trump criticized Elon first. Elon criticized Trump’s bill first. Trump commented on Elon around June 5, 12:08pm ET during a press conference. At 12:46 pm ET Elon commented on X in response to Trump’s press conference “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.” The bill and moving forward is what we should focus on, but the truth matters. x.com/elonmusk/statu…
Kaizen D. Asiedu@thatsKAIZEN

This never needed to get personal. It never needed to be about Elon vs Trump. It always was about the deficit, and whether the Big Beautiful Bill reduces it. Going forward, our President should focus on giving the people one Big Beautiful Explanation, not retaliation.

@ThomasSujit that Biden was pushing a war that led to the death of thousands, and that human lives are worth more than who is in charge of some land.

@PrestonSprinkle Maybe the worship of a president who has thrived because of his willingness to ruthlessly slander anyone who questions or opposes him has something to do with the sin being so palatable?

@Joseph_Spurgeon Genuine question: Does the Trump/Maga movement make you feel more empowered to say openly racist things?

Big congratulations to Republicans on their first big victory of the Trump era: empowering President Musk to strip funding for childhood cancer research out of the budget.

This is not hard, people. As for Esther and Abigail, because those women didn’t have husbands, and they did not break the law of the LORD when it comes to adultery. As for Abraham and Sarah, the law of the LORD on adultery had not yet been given, and therefore, neither she nor he broke any law on adultery (even though the story is clear that God was not good with the arrangement and protected Abraham from those choices). As for Bathsheba, she had a husband. He was a cultural outsider (a Hittite, who was ethnically not allowed to be a part of the assembly of Israel), and she took advantage of an opportunity to sleep with the most powerful and most insider man in the entire nation. Further, the story reveals that she trusted King David (her supposed “rapist”) more than her father (who presumably was still alive) or her husband (who was definitely alive at the time) when the consequences of their bad acts came to light. People who think David raped Bathsheba conveniently pretend women don’t like to sleep with high-power men who also happen to be ruddy and handsome with “beautiful eyes.” (see 1 Samuel 16:12, 17:42). Give me a break.

If Bathsheba was guilty of sin for not resisting David, why don’t we condemn Esther for not resisting being part of King Xerxes harem? Why don’t we condemn Abigail for becoming David’s second wife? Hagar for allowing Sarah to give her to Abraham?

Can I ask why over 60% of my taxes are going to fund public schools that I don’t have kids to send to? This should be something I can opt out pr pay a smaller percentage of until I have kids going to school.

I didn’t vote for him because of grocery bills. I make 4X the median for where I live. I voted for him because I liked seeing the anti-Trump meltdowns and nonstop posting about him by detractors last time and wanted to see it again. Seriously, watching Harris voters unravel is one of my joys.

@Jonnyfourshirts @DrNeilStone If it’s no more deadly than the cold - can you explain the hundreds of thousands of more deaths in America & millions more worldwide? My wife’s a nurse who managed a Covid unit. She zipped up multiple body bags & watched fellow nurses die - you think the “common cold” does that?

@ianmSC Apparently you’re MAGA, so allow me to teach you a lesson in logical equivalency with a question. If Fauci was rewarded for his misgivings, lies and treachery then Trump must have a host of unsavory reasons for being named person of the year by The Times, care to speculate?
