May not be a popular sentiment in the #DivTwit community but I’m much more in favour of FI than RE. It’s great to have a big nest egg but nothing wrong with continuing to work if you enjoy what you do and it keeps giving you more FI and more generational wealth.

Bitcoin hit $76k on Tuesday. Bitcoin hit $69k today (Thursday) Moving 10% in two days is why Bitcoin will not become the currency standard and why it’s struggling now to be a proper store of value. Will it settle down to become less volatile and more reliable?

My friend lost $100K in the market Wednesday while flying business class to Hong Kong eating steak and sipping champagne. There are levels to this game. This is a guy I met in grade 8. We’re lucky to have had similar trajectories and be able to travel together.

@BoomerDivvies That's the only bad part about having a larger portfolio; in dollar terms the swings are much larger. 🤓 I like to look at percentages...we're down 1.5% YTD. I suspect it will get worse before it gets better...

Self-managed portfolio down over $50k as I woke up in Hong Kong to see that the S&P500 got killed on Wednesday. My broker run accounts would have been down similarly. Glad I was sleeping for all that. 😂😂 It won’t bother my holiday as volatility is part of the game.

@BoomerDivvies Trump creates downward pressure on stocks for no reason. It’s like he’s actively trying to make them go down. Tariffs, wars, inflation, and chaos
