@Cu_Yesterday @Max_love55 Nah dude that highkey sounds shallow and unfun. Overwatch had its heyday but a 5v5 hero shooter would not have been it. Have you even played the Marathon and tried to engage with its systems and depth?

There are 2 things I never want to see in Marathon. 1. A strict PvE only version of the game. 2 Aggression Based Matchmaking Neither have a place in a PvPvE game.

@Max_love55 @VivaLaDoctor For PVP, it’s a 5v5 with ads and in order to exfil you have to wipe out the other team. And of course, at the exfil you get a flood of ads with a 5 min timer

@Max_love55 @VivaLaDoctor It could’ve been done. And the best comparison is destiny with elements of overwatch. You can’t create your own character characters ok cool, but you load in with a five man team and once a runner shell has been picked you have to pick something else.

@VivaLaDoctor Marathon could work perfectly as a PvE extraction game and ideally the last updates before EOS would work towards turning it into one to immortalize it. The systems can also be easily adapted for a purely PvE standalone expansion. But full PvE alongside pvp wouldn't work rn.

@LukeCB14 Someone already had that same idea. They wished “for a third destiny game“ and as you can see, destiny rising exists in the main game is getting shut down. There’s always a monkey’s paw situation. Don’t recommend.

Trade out deadfall and/or orpheus for different content. Sometimes I replace trapper w/ prowl and provision. dim.gg/urvm5va/Void

So, @destiny2team inadvertently nerfed omni very badly. It was already only useful in super niche situations, but now its plain bad. The issue is that it gives two melee charges, but they moved trappers ambush to proc off of class ability instead of melee. So, what's the point?

@Samsam143435923 And American companies lobbied for this too. That's it. It was 19 degrees today, it wasn't needed. It still happened for the ads and will in the final too. It's dreadful, it's very American, in that all sport is designed for adverts/marketing.

@AGlaiveMistake @Destiny2Team I’m still salty about it, but I was pissed when they gave people who made a purchase to get a “jumpstart” in D2 which was utter trash those two things, and they were bad ass…. I’m gonna figure out a way to build around it. It’s still really does suck.

@Cu_Yesterday @Destiny2Team I just started using Speedloader Slacks instead, but it feels more and more like Hunters have lost their identity with every patch in the last 3 years. Its really annoying how much Bungie just don't give a single fuck about hunters. They did this for the shitty new void melees.

@Searcy306 @PaulTassi It's an experimental mode for a reason, the goal is to obviously expand it further than what they've made so far. Tbh, It's already more interesting than I thought it'd be, I figured it would basically be like the other sponsored modes we've gotten

I would recommend the Marathon PvE mode launch also come with a free weekend at the very least. Otherwise it's still $40 to try out an experimental mode
