@sc0nesandc0ffee @NAPainter_ Gotcha, gotcha. Did the recent announcement peak your interest at all? Seems like they're making the game more approachable for people who want to like it but are on the edge with the extraction genre. I'm glad for more variety personally

@GenericGamer283 @NAPainter_ Oh no, you didn’t know. But yeah that’s my beef with it all - doing the exploit on stream and then griefing and coming on twitter acting the way he did about it - it’s a turn off to the game and community and this game doesn’t need more bad press.

With Permission from Cozmo, I am now posting about this. I received a 1 month suspension from Marathon a couple days ago for "deliberately ruining the online experience for others, either by cheating, exploiting a game glitch, or being disruptive" Let me make this clear. I am more than ok with this outcome. I made a mistake and did something fucked up. I'm willing to take this. No questions asked. No complaints given. I have reached out to both Fired and Icy and done what I can do to make amends and properly apologize. It doesn't make up for what I did, but I would say I am now on neutral terms with them for the most part. If ANYONE knows how I can properly reach out to Astro, do please let me know. In the mean time I am compiling a large list of every exploit I know exists or theorize to be possible within the game and handing it over to Bungie. It may not be much, but its my first step in making amends to Bungie. To the greater Marathon community, I apologize for how my actions affected the perception of the game as a whole. I love Marathon a lot and the fact I gave the haters more ammunition isn't something I am proud of. If you would like to hear more regarding this situation and my thoughts, I did an interview with @Geezaws2 that I think accurately depicts them. One of my team mates Ivan (YoItsMcNoodle) is also included in there and I fully agree with a lot of what he said. I will link the article below This will be my last post regarding this situation outside of answering questions people ask. For now, the road to redemption is long. This part is interesting to me. It could be the long term goal is to the get real PvE and PvP modes working and combine them all into an entirely new Marathon package. Not quite a mini Destiny, but at least somewhat moving toward that kind of broader base

@OfficialRedC @sc0nesandc0ffee @flap_jakes027 @luminatettv If it means more people enjoying a cool game then I'm all for it. If you do get it, I'd encourage you to at least try the main mode cause I think it's truly special, unless you just don't care for PVP at all.

i've realised the UI is centered around the animus hub, and i'm bummed by this because it removes any sense of identity. We no longer have main menu screens anymore like we've had since 2007-2023. And when Hexe releases and will be a witch focused game, we're gonna be staring at a recycled UI from shadows/black flag resynced

I see your point, but I'm just firmly against ex post facto punishments, both in-game and irl. 100% on Bungie for using the same TOS from D2 on a completely different genre of game and not thinking it through.

@NuCaloric @AntoricoSucks I still don't think it'll get delayed, dmg's been teasing the update and making clarifications on stuff, in spite of everything the last year where he probably said too much and looked foolish afterwards. For his own sake, I don't think he'd do it if it was getting delayed again

@camdenpike @NuCaloric When you're paired with competent teammates of similar skill, you realize the game is actually not that hard. Night and day difference to launch when randoms felt like dead weight 9/10 times

@NuCaloric Mic based matchmaking has made it much better. I almost did exclusively did solo's, but have been doing fills since sponsored came out, & it's been great for the most part. Even Cryo wasn't bad, when I dabled the other day . I also learned I'm not as bad as I thought I was.

Do people get mean in Marathon random fills if you're shit now or nah? I haven't played in a few weeks because of finals so I'm kinda scared to queue trio fills but solos and rook still make me snooze

@NuCaloric Mic based matcmaking has literally changed the game, and idk why all games dont have it tbh. Most people on crew fill have been competent, and they've pretty much all been chill. You're also automatically partied up after a successful exfil which can be nice if you vibe with them
