Many brilliant Iranian students came to the United States with nothing but their dreams, their talent, and their respect for the law. They believed in the promise of this country, a place where hard work, freedom, and merit matter. Today, many of those same students and immigrants are living in fear and uncertainty because of the #USCISPause . These are people who followed every rule, respected every law, and have absolutely no connection to the Iranian regime. Yet their lives, their careers, and their futures are now hanging in limbo. If you are a lawyer, a policymaker, or someone who believes in justice, please stand with them. Speak up. Help them. Don’t let their futures disappear in silence. #LifeTheHold

WATCH @RepMikeLawler on @IngrahamAngle on #DignityAct "You have to be in the country for more than 5 years, you cannot have committed a crime, you cannot collect government benefits, you have to pay a fine, you must pay back taxes, and you must be employed."

Day 32/365: Dear @ReichlinMelnick Legal Iranian immigrants in the U.S. are waiting for work authorization despite paying application fees. The pause is costing them their jobs and stability. We respectfully ask you to help in lifting the pause and resume the adjudication of immigration applications for LEGAL Iranian applicants who have followed every legal process. @HomanNews @SecMullinDHS @LindseyGrahamSC @StephenM @USCISJoe #LiftTheHold

@SecRubio I remember every time you said that the people of Iran are distinct from the regime, and I truly appreciate your recognizing this distinction. I also appreciate your efforts to make America safe again by deporting individuals with ties to the regime. I have supported every petition aligned with that goal! At the same time, I respectfully ask for reconsideration of the blanket hold on USCIS benefit applications. Please continue to reflect this important distinction and protect students and scholars who are already contributing to the growth and innovation of the United States. #USCISpause #LiftTheHold

The Trump Admin’s new rule to end automatic extensions on work permit renewals for workers with legal status is unfair for everyone who is filing on time and following the rules. They shouldn’t be punished because our government has a backlog and doesn’t have the staff to process their applications on time. In Las Vegas, I heard from immigration service providers about how this rule is harmful for immigrant families, their employers, and our economy. When I get back to Washington, I’m forcing a vote to overturn this unfair rule.

DHS and USCIS have slowed renewals for hardworking DACA recipients. These are valued community members who work hard, pay taxes, and support their families in the only nation they have ever known. These delays are unnecessary, and bad for our country and economy. Secretary Mullin needs to provide answers now.

Congressman @RepThompson, are you aware of what’s happening to thousands of legally present students and professionals right now? USCIS has effectively paused critical applications, leaving people without work authorization, income, or stability despite following every rule. People are at risk of losing their jobs, homes, and legal status overnight. This is a real and urgent crisis. We need leaders like you to look into this and speak up. #USCISpause #LiftTheHold

Most times when I look at the author list of a major AI or biotech paper, I see Iranian names. Let's support them.
