@PulmCrit I have a pretty bad type IV allergy to certain deodorants… I can say with certainty hospital laundered scrubs are not washed as well as they claim to be.

I’m a proud brand ambassador for generic hospital scrubs™️ Hospital scrubs are washed at higher temperatures than your home washer, making them cleaner. Hospital scrubs: ✅ Easy ✅ Clean ✅ Make your body look like a human blimp

@dysclinic @SpineNeuro Curious then that IRs also dont perform every epidural for regional anesthesia… similar needle and anatomic access. One is just 1cm deeper than the other.

Why did lumbar puncture go from being a med student procedure (bc it is extremely low risk) to a procedure that can only be done by an interventional radiologist?

@DoctorCliffyy @nickgerli1 Bought a home built in 1978 built out of real brick and wood in a neighborhood w/ mature shade trees. The alternative was a new build built out of spit and sticks for the same price with no natural barrier for the 300+ days of sunshine we get here Noone wants these new homes

@nickgerli1 Sub analysis - more expensive to insure older homes because the materials were of higher quality If the price is similar - pic the older home, control any renovation yourself with quality builders and materials

The housing market has flipped on its head. New houses are now significantly cheaper than old houses. $392k for new v $420k for existing as of Oct 2025. Which is strange. Because normally new houses sell for nearly 20% more than existing houses over the last three decades. What's driving this historic divergence? Builder price cuts. Builders have cut prices by 15% from peak in order to drive sales. Dropping the median sale price from $460k in 2022 to $392k today. The result is that new houses are cheaper for the first time in history.

If any med schools are seeing this, I’m available for hire for my 12 second lecture: “Buy your groceries from the outer square of the grocery store. Only go into the isles for coffee, spices, and a water filter for your Brita”

@IR_Doctor I guess when OpenAI's GPT4o thinks about an aging radiologist with a hunched back in the style of a specific nonsensical 1940s children's book, this is what it sees.

@AmineKorchiMD Phillips made ultrasounds without cords. Used them in IR suites. Techs hated them because theyd get thrown away in the surgical trash

We can land rockets back on their launch pad with centimeter precision, yet we’re still stuck with wired ultrasound probes and radiologists’ Dictaphones. Funny world—from a radiologist’s perspective.

A physician I know performed a complex surgery at a hospital. Health System billed: $78,000 Health System Paid: $40,000 Physician Reimbursement: $1,100 Health Systems take the lion’s share. Physicians take the hit. No physician wants to be employed. #healthcare

@IR_Doctor The short answer is, do both. Any funds that you have in a tax advantage account like a 401(k), IRA or Roth IRA can go into the bitcoin ETF. Directly purchasing bitcoin is more like savings and you absolutely want to have that as well.

@KyleCooperMD Im in a 70%IR/30% WFH DR private practice. Worked in both 100% IR acad and pvt practices. That 30% DR isn’t quite a vacation but the stress levels of a DR day are magnitudes lower than IR. Pay is identical, some cases better. If you have a family/kids the appeal is very real.
