@SenSchumer For everyone saying the gov’t shut down of the DHS/TSA caused this accident, do a tiny bit of research and use the brain God gave you. Look up what impact this has had on air traffic control which cleared the fire truck to enter the runway the jet was landing on.

I just got off the phone with NTSB Chairwoman Jennifer Homendy, who told me multiple investigators are en route to LaGuardia.
Two pilots lost their lives and dozens of New Yorkers were injured, and we owe it to them and their families to find out exactly how this happened. I will be watching like a hawk to make sure the NTSB and local authorities get to the bottom of this.

Our prayers this morning are with the families impacted by the ground collision at LaGuardia. The @FAANews is deploying a team to the site to support the @NTSB’s investigation. Here’s the information I can share are this time: -Last night, an Air Canada Express CRJ-900 operating from Montreal (YUL) and a Port Authority fire truck at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) collided at about 11:45 p.m. ET. -Of the 72 Air Canada Express passengers and 4 crew members, over a dozen are injured. Tragically, both pilots of the aircraft have passed away. At least 2 Port Authority firefighters sustained serious injuries. -LaGuardia remains closed until 2pm while the NTSB investigates the accident site. We will continue to work closely with the NTSB and share additional updates as soon as possible.

President Trump posted last night that the media outlets that disseminated an AI fake video of the USS Lincoln having been attacked should be charged with treason. I haven’t personally seen any US media outlets be tricked by this fake; some have debunked it. Does anyone know of any that actually fell for it? (I’ve asked the White House for any examples but haven’t heard back.) Thank you.
