Welp. Cant hide the end of your pen with back to back extra inning games. Assume someone is getting DFAd to be signed back again later

That was a lot to ask of Richard Lovelady to pitch in two high leverage games in a row, especially after he threw 20 pitches yesterday. Brooks Raley threw 11 yesterday for what it’s worth. But he is in a DFA candidate, of course. #Mets

@ultramet For some reason I think they are punting here because Lovelady will be gone tomorrow. Kimbrel or some other reliever will come up. Meanwhile the offense has been pretty bad shockingly with these tons of Ks @WardyNYM

At some point, you have to think about taking a chance on Kimbrel over Lovelady and foregoing the lefty and righty thing. If he’s going to hang sliders left and right, what’s the point? One is proven veteran. The other is a proven scrub. #Mets

@Mets #lgm @WardyNYM This is the most important takeaway from this game. Tim Leiper has done a nice job so far as 3B coach but he must shave his crappy beard. That is your pivotal takeaway of this game, thank you.

@michaelgbaron He looks lost and pressing like he wants a fast start. Just like Lindor, Beltran and all new high priced FA Mets

@WardyNYM Is it me but Bichette for a moment looks lost. Striking out a bunch, taking strikes down the plate. I'm wondering if he's pressing early like all new Mets like Lindor, Beltran, etc ..

@WardyNYM Very surprised Bichette is flailing at such terrible pitches. Wonder if he's pressing for a new team like Soto, Beltran and the rest...

Absolutely BRUTAL at bat Mets not doing themselves any favors today with the bats Far from shocked given its frigid day game, but you gotta close this series out Get it done

Bichette wound K'ing w/bases loaded but easy to see why he's been such a good RISP guy. In 13-pitch AB he fouled off 8 straight 2-strike pitches, letting ball get deep, taking it the other way. No leg kick w/2 strikes. Just looking for contact. Finally swung through high slider.

@michaelgbaron What a different feel of a lineup. Working counts, going the other way, situational hitting. Less strikeouts. And why wasn't this implemented years ago????

@michaelgbaron Even if played correctly it's a SF. What a different offensive approach. This is the difference with Pete and Nimmo and McNeil. It's one inning but this is the philosophy right here to be a playoff team.

That's a great hit by Brett Baty. But its all setup by quality, grind out plate appearances by Jorge Polanco and Luis Robert Jr. Just what the #Mets signed up for.

@WardyNYM An amazingly disciplined at bat. Even Baty would have a SF if played correctly. This is a much different more disciplined lineup. I'm done with strikeouts and fastballs down the middle for strike 3. What a huge different approach without Chavez!! #lgm
