@IDF It could be someone dressed as an IDF soldier but actually working for Hezbollah. Remember, Islam teaches that lying to infidels - which would include false flag operations - is permitted.

Following the completion of an initial examination regarding a photograph published earlier today of an IDF soldier harming a Christian symbol, it was determined that the photograph depicts an IDF soldier operating in southern Lebanon. The IDF views the incident with great severity and emphasizes that the soldier’s conduct is wholly inconsistent with the values expected of its troops. The incident is being investigated by the Northern Command and is currently being addressed through the chain of command. Appropriate measures will be taken against those involved in accordance with the findings. Furthermore, the IDF is working to assist the community in restoring the statue to its place. The IDF is operating to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure established by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, and has no intention of harming civilian infrastructure, including religious buildings or religious symbols.
LTC Nadav Shoshani@LTC_Shoshani

The IDF is currently examining the reliability of the photograph. If this is indeed a real, recent picture, these actions do not align with the IDF's values and the behavior expected of IDF soldiers. The incident will be investigated thoroughly and in depth, and if necessary, steps will be taken in accordance with the findings.

@JordanMHatfield @ReformedCaio And when you DO provide Bible verses which prove that God doesn't behave this way, they either throw out their pet verses which (they claim) state the other (now, an outsider has to wonder if the Bible contradicts itself, which it does not) or claim "you don't know Calvinism"

If God creates infants ordaining that they wake up into reality only to die, and then be sustained in an eternity of torment, then Christianity is no better than any other cult or religion. It no longer offers a picture of a God who can in any meaningful sense be described as "good" or "loving." If God can be defined as good and loving while simultaneously being one who sustains the innocent (who have done no evil) in an eternity of unimaginable suffering, then concepts of "good" and "love" no longer have any sensible meaning. That "god" is no less barbaric and cruel than Baal or Allah. This to me is so intuitively obvious and self-evident that it's wild to me that Christians are even debating whether it's true. While this is based partially on basic moral intuition and reason, it's also based on the standard of goodness and love that is constantly set forth in the scriptures. For instance, the definition of love in 1 Cor 13... where love is described as something that genuinely seeks for the good of the other independent of personal benefit. If infant damnation is true, then there is no sense in which it can ever be said that God "loves" the non-elect infants whom he creates simply to everlastingly destroy. That's not to mention the scriptures where the youth are said to have no understanding of good and evil, or where infants sacrificed to pagan gods are called "innocent" by God himself. Again, that this is even a debate amongst Christians is to me such a bewildering thing and indicates such a low and "human" understanding of God as well as great ignorance about what actual, biblical compassion, mercy, kindness and goodness look like. Many Christians are so quick to point out clearly repulsive, nonsensical and abhorrent views in other religions and religious texts – polygamy in mormonism, violence in Islam, etc... They will point these things out, and call them out for what they are, without beating around the bush. But yet, these Christians remain blind to the equally and obviously nonsensical and abhorrent views in their own beliefs. It's such a clear demonstration of Christians setting aside rationality and reason. Comparing infant damnation to Naziism isn't hyper-emotional. It's calling a spade a spade. It's calling that which is cruel cruel. The many Calvinists who respond to this sort of language by accusing me and others of simply being "emotional" are simply gas-lighting. Whether they realize it or not. If the bible in all of its revelation of the goodness of God has not given to Christians the ability to look at something like infant damnation and immediately, without hesitation identify it as cruel and unjust, then just what in the world has the bible given to Christians? What message of "good news" do Christians really have to offer the world that is morally superior to any other worldview out there? Christians are supposed to be new creations now having the very MIND OF CHRIST. But yet so many Christians on this platform are indicating that they need me to walk them through the scriptures to prove to them that God is not one who creates countless millions of infants simply to sustain them in an eternity of torment and incomprehensible suffering. Of course there are biblical arguments that can and have been made against this concept... But to me what is one of the most problematic and disturbing things about this whole #baalgate thing is the fact that so many Christians require convincing away from this view in the first place! The fact that when I make a comment about this issue on X, I'm met with so many Christians demanding verses to prove that God doesn't behave in this way is so revealing about the state of much of the church.

On this day, 31 years ago, the Oklahoma City bombing tragically took the lives of 168 people — 35 of those lost were HUD employees. Today, we honor their legacy, thank the first responders, and pray for peace for those who lost loved ones that day.

@Ewl41196539 @tmontanarealty @PresbyInn @LizzieMarbach Washington was the exception. Even then, he was a Freemason; many Christians teach that you can't be both Christian and a Mason. Jefferson wrote his own "version" of John's Gospel, which removed all accounts of miracles including the Resurrection.

Nice! I'd like to see that, if I'm ever in the area. I only recently learned that churches of a certain age had box pews. I'd come across references to families paying for a good pew, but I'd always imagined it was like paying for a front row bench or the like. It would be nice to see this and have a better image of the country as our founding fathers knew it. Happy 250th birthday!
