The Blaine County Sheriff has issued a mandatory evacuation for 8 houses on War Eagle Dr. in Hailey, plus a pre-evacuation notice for residences.. According to the National Weather Service, flooding is expected to pick up in the Wood River Valley this week & next.

And this is one reason why liability exemptions are given to cloud seeding operators. Idaho has suspended CS operations bc of flooding. How do operator plan for temperature shifts? They can’t. All they can do is suspend the program, but in many cases the damage is done.

A small initial attack fire started today outside La Pine, Oregon. Crews are on scene. Some evacuation notices were sent out to nearby residents. Initial size up was 20 acres.

Colorado has 7 active, state-permitted cloud seeding programs as of 2026
The 7 Permitted Programs:
- Central Colorado Mountains River Basins: Managed by Colorado River Water Conservation District, Front Range Water Council, and ski areas (Breckenridge, Keystone, Winter Park). This covers three sub-areas but counts as one program.
- Vail/Beaver Creek Program: Ski areas in Eagle County
- Upper Gunnison River Basin Program: Gunnison County and Upper Gunnison River Water Conservation District.
- Grand Mesa: Water Enhancement Authority (including Collbran, Fruitland Mesa, Crawford Water Conservancy Districts, and Grand Mesa Pool).
- San Juan Mountains Program: Covers areas like Telluride, Purgatory, and southwestern basins (e.g., Dolores, San Miguel rivers).
- North Platte Basin Airborne Cloud Seeding Project: Aerial operations in northern Colorado.
- North Platte Basin Ground-Based Program: Ground generators in the same basin.
Again this is a mix of private and taxpayer funding through government programs, agencies and grants

@SenatorShippy I read your article. I am unconcerned about entering data into a federal system because WE ALREADY DO. All of my information is given to the IRS. You provide no real arguments against e-verify. Change the part where people with no employees have to comply and PASS IT.

@IdahoansFirst @TakeThatClouds @nichols_senator Nah, give yourself more credit. We can all read bills and form an opinion. Compare 1269 to statute as well as federal code 908. You’ll quickly see it’s an easy assessment. But good for the “stakeholders” getting a W on this.

As a regular Idahoan, I never consented to this. As governor I would issue an Executive Order directing state agencies (like DEQ and the Idaho Water Resources Board) to immediately halt any state authorized weather modification or geoengineering activities, launch full monitoring of atmospheric releases over Idaho, and require public transparency on any suspected operations. I would support you in a push for and sign strong legislation to ban unauthorized geoengineering statewide, including felony penalties for violations. We've seen momentum in 2026 with memorials urging federal action; I'll make sure Idaho leads, not follows. I would also create a volunteer Citizen Task Force for data collection to help document everything and demand federal cooperation to stop cross-border or unmarked operations, and protect our air, water, agriculture, and families. No one gets to experiment over our homes without permission. This is about sovereignty, transparency, and putting Idahoans First.
