Jesus said “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me-just as the Father knows me and I know the Father-and I lay down my life for the sheep.” John 10:14-15 NIV

How much is custom spraying in your area if you supply the water and chemical, and all the custom guy supplies is the machine work?

Added a few more bee hives this year. We got lucky and our hives from last year survived the winter. The bees will be busy pollinating sunflowers, flax and alfalfa this growing season. Hopefully making lots of honey as well! #pollinators #bees #soilhealth

@JoshJohnso78869 @FredVLarsen We’ve never grazed in fall. However if we’re short of area to park pairs before summer grass, we’ve dumped pairs out onto the awakening winter wht w/removed about the 3rd leave stage. No difference in yield compared to stuff ungrazed

Rye cover crop was seeded in late November. Was surprised to see it up and growing this spring after the open winter. Really nice seeding conditions for soybeans. #notill #covercrops #soilarmor

@Farmertom7 @gavin_spoor I do like how heavy they are. That’s why I went with the I&J. We were very wet last spring so I couldn’t get the crop crimped at the proper timing. Good learning experience. Will keep using it when I can. Learned not run it through wet spots. Not the funnest to clean mud out of

@ResslerLuke @gavin_spoor Ive been rolling rye with a brillion cultimulcher which works well in the right conditions. Im starting to think it just has to be the right condition of crop for any roller to work properly. I and J looks well built but its damn crazy to spend roughly 1k / foot of roller

Show me pictures of your cover crop crimpers Pre plant or post plant? Tractor mounted? Planter mounted? Thinking I want to use one on some cereal rye, hairy vetch, and perennial rye/crimson clover next spring Pic for attention, I like this setup

@schrieferranch @blonglet Could but I would need more cows! He is 20-30 miles south of me. I’m sure a few of his neighbors that have cattle would work a little better.

Planting soybeans into a great stand of rye. You can see the dirt blowing in the distance. 38mph wind gusts at the moment

A solar farm is in the works on arguably the best ground in Cass County North Dakota. May be a boon to local economy. But…… I do not support it one bit. There are countless other options on way less fertile ground. $$ talks and walks. Government corruption at its finest.
Rep. Mary Miller@RepMaryMiller

This week, I reintroduced the No Solar Panels on Fertile Farmland Act, to ban taxpayer funding of Chinese solar panels on America's prime farm ground. We must end the left's Green Bad Deal that puts fake environmental goals over food security!

@ndrockfarmer @embdenhaymaker @robertlufkinmd The beef smell/ flavor all has to do with how well you render and strain it. The reason it works so well as a balm for your skin is the oils and nutrients in the fat around the kidneys is very similar to the natural oils on our skin.

Mitch is doing some awesome stuff on his ranch. I think this is the best way to harvest corn and feed cows. Good lookin cattle too!
Mitch Dahl@mdahl85

@jarluh 1 acre/day 320 pairs. Roll out 10lbs/pair of alfalfa every other day and keep descent grass hay out free choice and free choice sodium bicarbonate. Started slow kept them full on hay the first few days. This was 150 bushel corn and I figure around $.95 pair/day including hay

@ResslerLuke My interview presentation for my current job was on grazing corn, from my work in Nebraska. I gave that talk in 1999. It was called sustainable back then, now it's regenerative. 🙂

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. -Romans 1:20
