@JohnRad15 Those who defend Capitalism are against State interference on a moral and consequentialist basis. Claiming State is part of Capitalism not only is confusion but ineffective.

Reposting because I think this is an important point. Capitalism enforces its specific land regime, making land a commodity. It does so using police with guns. That is profound state interfence in the economy.

@JohnRad15 @IdeCrash @Jakeman582 Not based on traditional definitions of capitalism and socialism. Capitalism = no state interference in the market Socialism = state directed markets It’s pretty simple

@Ouroboros88_ Can you summarize your ideology in a couple words? "Be nice to people" okay but that's like every ideology, can you be more specific? "Less government" okay so in reality you have nothing and then you wonder why your ideology never has completed anything

@AdrianJ82922837 @Ouroboros88_ Libertarianism - The political (coherent, consistent, and rigorous) philosophy created by Murray Rothbard rooted in property theory (self-ownership + homesteading + private property ethics) In sum: private property & non aggression as the only true way to max human liberty

Leftists think being a moral person means standing around making demands, instead of learning a damn thing about how anything works so that their hopes might be realized. So they simply pile up mountains of corpses, but they're sure they're the moral ones

Yes, I’m a radical leftist. I believe all humans should have access to food, housing, healthcare, and education without fear of ever losing them. I call that being a moral person.

@ThomasSowell This is not a Fredrick Hayek quote. This is a Peter Drucker quote. Hayek quotes Drucker in The Road to Serfdom.

We talk about doing good all the time: on inequality, inclusive growth, climate, health. So why do we fail along the way? Because economics lacks a coherent theory of the common good. The compass in The Common Good Economy holds everyone who claims to pursue the common good accountable: purpose, co-creation, shared knowledge, shared rewards, transparency. Consumers set the rules under Capitalism.... something everyone has known since at least 138 years "price is actually limited and determined by the valuations of the buyers alone." Boehm-Bawerk, The Positive Theory of Capital, 1888

Rothbard's greatest contribution was building the entire intellectual architecture proving why every state intervention backfires, from antitrust law to central banking to public education. Government is organized theft. You get pristine economic logic married to rigorous historical analysis. Man, Economy, and State demolishes Keynesian fallacies with mathematical precision. The Mystery of Banking exposes how the Fed creates boom-bust cycles through credit expansion. Most economists split hairs over policy tweaks. Rothbard proved the state itself violates basic property rights and economic law.
