@GrogsGamut Stage 3 is simply slowing bracket creep. The people that will benefit already pay more than 90% of all income taxes. There has to be some reward for hard work?

Stage 3 is badly designed, massively expensive, and destroys our progressive tax system that has been the bedrock of our economy (and society)

Yes, they are better off overall. Are we where we should be in terms of closing the gap? Absolutely not. Doesn't change the fact that they have benefited from colonisation, despite the negatives. Doesn't mean it's been perfect, far from it. But here's the truth you don't want to admit to, some of the problems have been self inflicted over the past 200 years.

@dodona777 @vanessa_young56 The counter-argument is that these cases were seen as hopeless by other surgeons and that the costly operation ($35k) was effectively useless. In other words, there was no realistic chance that their condition would improve.

WTF - if ppl accept the risk & then they die why is it the fault of #DrTeo? I don't get it. These ppl were told that it wld be impossible to do anything 4 them BUT Teo offered hope. He also told them there was a big chance the surgery wldn't work. So why is he at fault?

So getting old sucks - lifted something heavy yesterday and then couldn't bend anymore - too much pain - apparently I've possibly slipped a disc. It's unfun.
